Very good replacement for the 360 controllers
The OEM controllers for the Xbox 360 are still expensive and getting harder to find, these work every bit as good as the original so far. I bought one for the 360 because the two controllers we have are wore out and the kids still like playing some games on it, and I bought one for my desktop for gaming as I used one of the 360 controllers on it before and preferred it. It plays well with Red Dead Redemption and a couple of others I've tried it on so far. Both controllers were basically plug and play, on both the Xbox and my Win 11 desktop. Range is good, waiting to see how battery life will be.I did have to exchange one, the controller was fine, but the USB receiver was defective and wouldn't maintain a connection to the controller (tested the faulty receiver with both controllers and confirmed it was a bad USB receiver). The replacement worked fine and was an easy exchange. It seems like I had read a couple of other reviews of the same issue.

Avoid unless you like garbage
Update April 14, 2024: I'm not sure how this controller could get worse but it has as it drains name brand batteries in 5 hours or less of gameplay (with the vibration feature fully off on the console). This is for both normal and the more expensive name brand rechargeable batteries. My name brand Xbox 360 controllers last about 20-30 hours on the normal batteries and 30-40 with my rechargeable ones. This controller makes it about 5hrs before brand new fully charged batteries die. Complete waste of money still and I'm so highly disappointed with this after all these years still.Updating Sept 2, 2022 with a final note. The controller is constantly disconnecting even more if that's even possible. I can't get through a single 2-3 minute level in a game without it shutting off on me 3+ times in that short span. It's also behaving as if a stick or button is stuck yet they are not however the character on screen is all over the place showing something is clearly being done with a control somewhere. Again, avoid this, don't buy it. Save your money. I'm about to throw it out the window next time it disconnects on me. I'm done with this garbage. Shame on the maker, shame on the seller and shame on Amazon for allowing junk like this to be sold on their site.I purchased this April of 2021 so I did wait to write my review of this and tried to give it time. Right out of the box it was garbage. There is a big jagged piece of plastic that tore my hand to pieces right off that had to be filed down. After that was dealt with both sticks have MASSIVE dead zones to the point it is completely unplayable in anything that needs any kind of precision at all. The buttons (especially A and X) are far too "clicky" and the A button sticks often. The LT and RT triggers are very wobbly and clearly incredibly cheaply made and the RB and LB feel loose and sometimes don't even register the presses. The controller constantly is shutting itself off completely at random even in the middle of trying to play. It just flat out shuts off, usually right after a feeling of weight in the controller shifting. My only thoughts are the batteries however they fit so tight they are a fight to get in and out of the pack so I don't know how they could possibly shift around for whatever it is I keep feeling it do. To add to the batteries this controller flat drains my expensive rechargeable name brand batteries. I have 2 different kinds, but they both drain from a completely full charge in less than 1 hour on this controller, where the name brand Microsoft controllers work for a good 30 hours on those exact same batteries with a full charge. I instead use Duracell for this controller and those still drain far faster than they ever do in any other controller I've ever owned across multiple brands of console (Xbox, Playstation, Wii and even Gamecube). They last maybe 10 hours before they are fully drained where normally a Duracell lasts a good long while. This controller is incredibly cheap feeling, poorly made and is absolute garbage. The only thing I can even remotely use it for is a game like Rayman Legends/Origins or something similar that doesn't need any kind of precision in the slightest bit and uses as few buttons as possible and even then it constantly shuts itself off or buttons stick or don't register at all.Save your money and find something else. Look locally at a game store and buy a used name brand Xbox controller instead if you can. Usually the owners will let you feel them over and you can see if they are decent used or not before you buy. I'd pay the extra for used if I knew it was decent over ever buying from this company again. Also, upon opening the box there was a paper trying to get me to leave a 5 star review for their product in return for a free product. Clearly against Amazon's TOS last time I checked? Well, here's your late review but you will never get a 5 star for me for this piece of junk. Anybody who does still purchase one of these, make sure you check over the controller first before your hands get sliced to pieces on jagged plastic as well!Editing because I forgot another very important issue! Not only does the controller turn off randomly far too often, it rarely wants to even turn on to begin with. The light doesn't even flicker when you hold for Xbox button for a few seconds. I then have to take the batteries out and put them right back in and guess what, there it goes. There's no reason why it won't work the first time, same working batteries, same battery pack, etc. But I always have to remove the batteries and put them back in to get the controller to turn on in the first place. Also since Amazon likes to just randomly group reviews together anymore this was for the Black Xbox 360 Wireless controller. Again, avoid this junk and find something better!

Weak vibration and no way to shut it off unless you take the batteries out.
Feels similar to the original remotes. A wee bit heavier and bulkier but nothing much. Took a few tries to connect it to its transponder thingy but worked fine afterward. Was disappointed in two things, one of which is something I consider to be major. The first was the lack of a way to shut it off unless you take the batteries out. Not major, just inconvenient as you’ll have batteries laying around. I don’t know if it’s supposed to be that way, but mine was when connected to the Xbox 360. No, it doesn’t connect to your Xbox 360 like a regular Xbox 360 remote, it has to use a transponder. Not a big deal, but it could explain the initial connection issues and on/off issues. The major thing was the vibration. It’s there, sure, but not by much. I’m not even sure if it’s half as strong. Considering how vibration can completely transform your sense of feeling in a game, most notably racing games, it was disappointing and made racing games, for me, harder to play. Had little idea when cars were breaking traction. It also broke some sense of immersion too. If that doesn’t bother you and you can live with some kinks here and there, it’s a good buy and a good way to save money. If it does, you may want to either consider getting the official original Xbox 360 remote or repairing your older controllers if possible (you may need a soldering kit, depends on what went wrong, I will hence why I wanted to try this first). I’m keeping this as a back up remote, in case for some odd reason, someone wants to play split screen on my museum piece in 2022 (I have the first version of the Xbox One 1TB and the new Xbox Series X, so not likely, I just wanted to get my first console that wasn’t a Wii working again and fire up old Forza Motorsport 4 since, for some reason, that game still isn’t backwards compatible. Halo 3 and Reach are still pretty fun on this remote, just not much vibration when shooting or for explosions, analogue sticks work good and are about as good as a fully functioning [rare] original Xbox 360 remote’s analogue sticks.) or in case I can’t fix my old remotes.
