Good quality and don't forget to pre-drill the screw holes!
Nice product, exactly what I wanted. I noticed some reviewers complaining about the screws. They are very small and made of brass. You should never try and drive them in without a pilot hole and what I have always done, is drive in a steel screw first, then remove, and it makes driving the brass screw easier. I did this with these screws and had no problems. Don't use a drill driver, but a properly fitting hand screwdriver and you should be fine.

Great Value And good Quality
We bought this pack of two bolts to put on our loft hatch as tge auto catch was seeming dodgy. They fitted well and are great quality. The only thing was, the hatch did manage to clock me on the head for the first time after 18 years as I was holding the bolt up for measuring! Lol ;))

Really good value and does the job
Works just fine if you have realistic expectations and don't expect aerospace engineering at this price. And the screws are just fine - definitely not cheese, Tim! In fact, the screw head made a suprisingly positive connection with the correct size screwdriver. Just remember to drill a pilot hole first, particularly if you're screwing into solid wood. These are brass screws, not steel ones, after all.

Ok, but let down by screws.
...the poor quality screws let the product down. You must pre drill the holes for the screws and tighten gently or they will burr instantly. Alternatively, find some better quality screws. Once fitted the bolt works fine but overall the product is let down by poor quality.

Rubbish screws.
The bolt itself is fine. Looks ok, and appears to be solid brass as advertised. On first sight I was pleased to see the screws were cross headed rather than slots as my usually experience is that they are a lot easier to use. However two of them sheared off whilst I was trying to fit the bolt to the door, leaving part of the screw imbedded in the wood so necessitating moving the bolt slightly and trying again. I understand that brass screws are never going to be as robust as steel but they were very poor. Weirdly, I would probably still buy the bolt as it is ok and good value, but use your own screws.
