Extremely good takes a few rehanging of the door due to working the cut out once complete awesome guard. It does require a additional adhesive sealant as well as being screwed with hardware

The draft seal works perfectly. I live in an 18th century cottage with no modern threshold. I was looking for something to stop draft and the occasional drops of rain blowing under the door. This product was easy to install following the instructions I now have no draft coming into the house under the front door.

Good quality item, fits well and direct replacement for older version of storm guard threshold seal. Don't underestimate the time (and effort) required though to remove the door from its hinges to allow fitting. Will also required cutting to size, which due to the item profile is difficult with a hacksaw, I resorted to using a metal cutting disc in an angle grinder to cut it.

We moved in and there was gold everywhere. Wife hates it so I am going through the process of changing it for chrome/silver. I bought this as a direct replacement for the gold version but I am disappointed with the exterior appearance. The old gold rain bar was seamless, no screws at all and, indeed, none needed. The new replacement has 3 screws visible and I really think it spoils the appearance.The installation was fairly straightforward and the appearance from the inside is satisfactory. Overall, I won't be changing it unless I can find a stormguard version with no screws on the rain bar.

This item was a direct replacement when changing brass colour to silver. However, by nature of the product you do need to cut to fit (for most doors). This is no problem for basic DIY skills. Otherwise, you may need someone else to fit it for you. Good value product and good price.

Rain used to drive under the door now it is water tight even in the worst of weather and looks great. The fitting instructions are easy to follow and should be within the capabilities of a reasonable DIYer

Should have studied the pictures more closely!! A TOTAL gap of 28mm !! is needed between the bottom of the door and the frame. (13mmm for base and 15mm for deflector) I read just the 13mm size. (instructions supplied with unit show this clearly) My door can only be trimmed by at most 12mm top and bottom (common in all doors these days) Without trimming door is very tight fit in frame and don't want to risk cutting 28mm off + extra to avoid fouling the top edge in the frame without possibly wekening the door structure (and voiding warranty). Can't use but too late to return. Opting instead for separate water guard and internal draft strip.
