Don't listen to the negative Reviews. These are amazing!
I almost did not buy these donuts due to some of the negative reviews. I'm glad I ordered these. These donuts are fantastic. I suggest putting them in the fridge to give them an even more chewier texture. The taste is fantastic and the protein count is top notch. I give both these donuts and the Legendary Foods pastries five stars. Incredible!

donut-shaped protein snack
If you like Legendary Foods' other products, you are likely to appreciate these donuts. If you are expecting a traditional donut, though, you may be disappointed. The texture is very dense, and the flavor is very distinct--not off-putting, but just not pastry-like. I actually like the flavor, but the rest of my family did not, and I wish I could compare the donuts with something that has a similar flavor, but I can't think of anything that tastes like them.Besides being nothing like an actual donut (other than being shaped like a donut), this snack does deliver on protein, which is why I wanted to try them. I heat them in the microwave as recommended by Legendary Foods, and I'm able to eat two (each packet has two small donuts), but no more. They are quite filling for being under 200 calories. This is why I like them: I need snacks that fill me until I have time for proper meals. These donuts sate my appetite and give me enough energy to keep going throughout my day. Two donuts make one serving, and as mentioned before, each packet (there are eight) has two donuts. The packets are the perfect serving size, and the remaining donuts remain unopened and fresh. The price may seem off-putting, but because these are protein snacks and quite filling, I think they provide great value. For a little under $4 a serving, I can feel full for a couple of hours. I'm mostly satisfied with these donuts, and I recommend them if you want something protein-packed, filling and moderately sweet.

Not as good as I hoped
Not as good as I hoped. The donuts were much smaller than I expected, there wasn't much frosting, and the dough had a dense cakey texture. It didn't taste much like a real donut.

Perfect donut alternative
I love this flavor, it's SO GOOD. Kills my craving for sweets. Of course you cant expect it to be perfectly like a real donut but this is as close as you'll get for a high protein low calorie alternative.

If You Need a Donut but Can't Have a Donut...
Full disclosure, I am NOT a true fan of protein/keto/GF/low carb/etc products, but since I'm now "at a certain age," I need to start finding some healthful (or at least healthier) substitutes for the things I used to be able to burn off quicker. That said, I'm also incredulous about the price point these kinds of products command on the market. These aren't going to replace the deliciousness of a true-blue donut; let's be honest. They're dense and not terribly soft, but to me, that's true of each type of these products I've tried. It's nice to have that small taste of chocolate and idea of a donut when you shouldn't have the real deal though. They're great for on the go, and with the higher protein, they keep you satisfied for longer than that real donut would. My daughter, husband, and I all tried them. My daughter and I had ours warmed, as the directions say to do for a "next level experience." That's a bit of a reach, but it does make them a bit softer. My husband had his straight from the package with coffee and they carried him past his usual lunchtime. If you're a connoisseur of this type of snack, they'll be a welcome addition to your pantry. If you're following a particular food regimen (keto, etc), they'll be appreciated for being grab-n-go. I'm keeping a star because I do think there are competitive types of food with a friendlier price point.

I feel let down by this product. - buy the poptarts instead
I love protein snacks, and tried most of every one that exists. But this one… isn’t good. I genuinely expected it to be better. Obviously not exactly like a glazed doughnut, but atleast taste decently similar. The other protein products they have, like the pastries and rolls seem to be way better than these. Now to point out the obvious problems. The flavor. Horrible slightly cinnamon highly tangy kinda of taste. Tastes like when you accidentally throw up in your mouth. For the texture, that typically kinda of dry bread feeling of it is expected, no problems with that. For the company, I would highly suggest possibly figuring out the taste of a vanilla glazed donut.it’s so bad I tossed them. Definitely gonna stay with the pastries from now on.

They hit
Anyone who says these aren’t good just eats too many real donuts. This is a great alternative to itch your craving, they taste great. Warming them up is a must though, otherwise they aren’t soft enough to be called a donut. 9/10.
