Thank goodness I haven’t needed yet but when the time comes I have then perfect for my emergency bag got them for the time you ready need them and you have them great for camping or to add to your bug out or in bag you know when you don’t have them you need them so it’s Insurance

These things amaze me. As long as your skin is clean and dry and not really hairy they stick like glue! I have them in all my first aid kits now.

Great for those times you need to close up a wound and you can't get to an ER. This isn't really for a novice, but if you have some real training/experience, this is a very good piece of kit. I've used this & it's intuitively easy & works. You do need to know how to treat before using, i.e., stopping the bleed & proper cleaning. But if you do, this can work before the ER, and maybe instead. Always get checked by proper medical professionals after use no matter what the case

I have traveled to more than 100 countries. Usually to remote areas of the world that are off the beaten track, and I have found that "Butterfly Bandages" are indispensable to have on hand especially in remote areas far from doctors or hospitals. These bandages are used for closing wounds that often times would generally require a few minor sutures. They keep the wound edges together which allows the wound to stay clean and to heal without scar tissue building up in the laceration. As a doctor, I have also used these bandages on patients in the field where the wound was small and there was no arterial bleeding. Those things being said, a person could also use these bandages at home especially if they do not like emergency rooms and the wounds are clean cuts, small in nature, and without arterial bleeding. This box of bandages comes with five small butterfly bandages (about 1.75" in length), and five larger butterfly bandages (about 2.5" in length). The box also includes a Wound Closure Device which can be used on a laceration or incision up to 6cm in length. It is a small, patch-like device that uses small, plastic closures (maybe nylon or plastic), think mini zip-ties, which when stuck on the skin over the wound, and then the ties pulled in opposite directions, cause the edges of the wound to approximate each other and thereby closes the wound. These bandages are used for wounds where band-aids would not suffice. These bandages are used to approximate the edges of lacerations and incisions that are clean in nature, and deeper than just a surface scratches, cuts, and abrasions. These bandages do have a shelf life of approximately 3 years. The box I acquired was manufactured in November 2024 and will expire in November 2027. I am giving this product a four-star rating only because I have not used any of these bandages yet from this box (and I hope I never have to) so I am not quite sure of this manufacturer's bandages sticking power. This being said, I have never used an unexpired butterfly bandage yet that doesn't perform well so I would expect nothing less from this manufacturer as well.
