Works well with Home Assistant via Zigbee2MQTT. Note the moisture sensor is shown as humidity by default. Quickly resolved by renaming the entity in Home Assistant.Seems pretty robust, will see how it weathers through the winter.

I have been looking for an internet connected moisture level sensor for a long time and the choice is very limited. The Thirdreality soil sensor leaves a lot to be desired, for one placing the temperature sensor in the plastic body is just a waste of space, as it is enclosed in the battery compartment, which heats up well in excess of the ambient temperature, it would have much more useful if it read the soil temperature.Some have commented as to the size of the battery holder, however unless you have very small plant pots I think it is fine, the fact that the unit takes an AA battery that lasts a couple of years is a neat solution.I first tried using the Thirdreality smart bridge but I could not get it to work properly either with Apple or Amazon Alexa, I then tried the Smart Hub Gen 2 and that was better, although the app can be improved, as it does not for example show the history, and the icons show the temperature in Fahrenheit and have to open each to read the centigrade readingThe instructions suggested to use a screwdriver to pierce the hole in the soil before inserting the sensor, I found using a knife is a better solution as the whole is tight enough to allow direct contact with the soil, whereas if you are to use a screwdriver, the hole is far too big and it will take time until the soil settles and you start to get a steady reading.I have bought 4 of the sensors which i place at varying locations in the garden, they are all reading a moisture level of around 60% which is what I expected considering that it has been raining recently.I wish there was a better product on the market, one that was linked to a database of plants, recoded the moisture level history, had alarms that could be set when a certain a level was reached, and a soil temperature sensor.

Disappointing on the whole. The integration with the Thirdreality Smart Bridge to Google Home Hub in my experience either doesn't work or isn't reliable. I've spoken to Thirdreality, but as far as I am aware there isn't a resolution at this time.In addition, I'm unsure about how accurate the readings given by the probes are. I'm testing by using a manual probe (which I know to be accurate) alongside a Thirdreality wi-fi probe. The Thirdreality probe returns higher moisture levels, for example, showing between 50% to 60% when the manual probe gives an almost dry reading.

Paired well with HomeAssitant over Zigbee2MQTTTho I'm pretty confident the Temp measurement is taken from the body and not the probe..Very responsive to changing values

Fairly useless, unfortunately. It's located in the garden, roughly 9ft away from a Zigbee repeater dongle, it connects for a few hours, then drops off again, I was having to pair it again daily, before I eventually gave up on it entirely. I will look for a better alternative.

Works well with Homeassistant/ZHA. Isn't too intrusive looking. Battery life yet to be determined but has held up well so far. Temperature is, as it seems, measured in the green top part, which seems to be affected when in direct sunlight.
