A must have early childhood education book!
One of the best books on early childhood education! It’s practical and insightful! My son attends a zoo-nature preschool school that spends over 50% of the day outside using predominantly natural materials for learning activities. I’ve noticed a big difference in his mood, he is more calm and happier ever since moving him from a traditional preschool. He looks forward to school everyday! I highly recommend this book for all early childhood educators and parents. You don’t need to teach at a nature school to bring more of the outdoors/nature to your class, nor does your child need to attend a nature school to have more nature based learning experiences. Your kiddos will definitely benefit from it. This book is a great book to help you on your journey!

Terrific Book with Hundreds of Ideas!
Although family providers will find this book helpful, it is definitely written for teachers working in early childhood classrooms. The book is filled with amazing, easy-to-implement ideas. Images are terrific. This is my second book because the first book is earmarked with ideas that I have already used and ideas I have yet to try. Great book! Georgette Childress

Good food for thought and ideas for implementation
This is a book for family childcare providers, center directors, and any early childcare educator to do some critical thinking about ECE environments. While liked this book, i give a 4 star because it is a not as broad of content as expected/needs more for a 5 star.
