Feline hydration
This is great for tracking your pets water intake. We have a cat that is prone to stones, so very important for us to know how much water he is drinking (or if we need to add some water to his wet food, which has it's own challenges, including it is a lot more messy). This is great for us to track his water intake, or at least give us a baseline on if we need to take additional steps to make sure he is drinking enough. This is easy to set up and clean. At the time of review there is an additional 15% off voucher, bringing this to £85, meaning it is an even more compelling price point.

Convenient and High-Tech Cat Water Fountain
The Petlibro Smart Cat Water Fountain offers great features for cat owners. The RFID pet identification ensures your cat always has access to fresh water, while the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi app monitoring is a convenient bonus. I appreciate being able to check water levels and track usage remotely. The fountain is quiet, easy to clean, and holds a good amount of water. It’s a practical and efficient way to keep your cat hydrated with minimal effort.

Smart Cat Fountain: Great Features
The PETLIBRO Smart Cat Water Fountain is impressive. The RFID pet identification and Wi-Fi app monitoring work well, providing useful information. The dockstream design is good for multiple cats, and the 3L capacity is ample. Solid build quality, and good value for a smart pet water dispenser. Recommended for cat owners wanting to monitor their pets' hydration.

Water fountain with an unneeded feature
At what it does, this cat water fountain works very well, however it’s a question of whether you need these extra features. It comes in two main parts: the actual fountain, which contains the water, pump and filter system plus a base which monitors the water volume, the amount drunk and connects to your phone. The idea is simple: the fountain detects when a collar, worn by your cat, is near and measures the volume of water they’ve drunk by the difference in weight of the water after they leave. Ostensibly this is so you can monitor your cat’s water intake and it’s very clever in how it does this. Every time your cat has a drink it generates a report and sends this to your phone. Now, there is a major flaw in the concept, in that, if your cat ever goes outside, they like to drink from any stagnant puddle of water that they find. You can never get an accurate idea of their water intake because puddles don’t have Bluetooth yet. So you’ll know how much they drunk from the fountain, but you can never know how much in total they’re actually drinking. Also, even if you knew your ct wasn’t quite drinking enough, I’m not sure what you could do with that information; I wouldn’t be able to force my Rosie to drink more.Another drawback is that you are expected to use the supplied collar with the tag. The tag does come off, but it isn’t supplied with anything to allow it to be attached to your car’s own collar. My cat has a collar that comes with a name tag that goes with it, fitting onto the actual collar, rather than dangling from it. It was a pain removing this and putting it on the Petlibro one. I also found the supplied collar was a bit loose for my fifteen-month-old cat, even when tightened as small as possible. It has also begun to fray far more than my cat’s other collar, so I will be reverting back to the old one.Overall, it’s fine and may suit you if you have an indoor cat, but if, like the vast majority of UK cats, yours ventures outside, the ‘smart’ features become pointless.

Pretty impressive
Although my cats have their own collars so we aren't able to put the measurment collars to use i think it's a great addition! If you're wanting to track how much each cat drinks and for how long etc this works well. It would be better if there was a separate tag instead of collars as I love the function.Noise level is quiet, nothing bothersome and I have it in my bedroom.

High quality fountain
Super high quality water fountain, once my kittens realised it wasn't a toy they enjoy drinking water out of it and occasionally washing their toys in it, I love the way it's designed, you just lift the top off and refill that part, all of the electronics are in the base and no water touches them unlike other fountains where you have to submerge the wire.I didn't use the collars because I worry about the safety of them, my kittens are stupid little gingers and would absolutely get it caught on something so I'm not risking using a non breakaway collar on them. Other than that the smart features are great, it tells you when the fountain is low on water which is very handy because I always worry about it running out without me noticing.Setup wasn't that hard, the instructions could be a little more clear but I had this thing up and running in about 15 mins.

Collar is dangerous
***note the manufacturer has taken notice and now the replacement collars do feature a breakaway design to prevent entanglement. I still fail to see how people can give this 5 stars when it it is supplied with dangerous non breakaway collars!Nice idea but like other rfid tag products for pets I’ve seen recently this has the two same flaws one major that being the collar is not a breakaway type so won’t come off if your pet gets caught up. Secondly the actual need for the collar even if your cat is chipped. It won’t work off your existing chip even though catflaps manage this?Filters work out to be £2.50 a week and replacement collars are available for £9.99 but unfortunately are not the breakaway type still. With the collar in mind it’s hard to like this

Easy set up
This works great in our household. I love on the app it let's you know their water intake. It also let's me know if water level is low. It was easy to set up. Really pleased with it.
