Excellent cooler
I've been really impressed with the Hayden 689 transmission cooler. It's been a year since I installed it on my '90 Chevy K1500, and it's been a game-changer. I went for a PTFE braided hose setup, routing it through the stock radiator cooler first. Alongside the cooler, I put in a new transmission, and the difference is night and day. The old fluid was pitch black, but now it stays almost as clear as when it was new. The temps are consistently cool, hovering around 150°F, even when towing, it barely nudges up to 185°F. That's a stark contrast to the old 180°F average, which could spike up to 220°F pre-cooler. I'm so satisfied that I've picked up another for my K5 Blazer project. I'm betting it'll live up to the hype just the same.

Perfect set up!
Added this to my 2020 Tundra that did not come with a cooler so to speak. Toyota omitted them 2018-2021 models. Much happier with my towing temps. If you install on your Tundra, get all the factory lines and such for a 2018, Complete bolt in with the exception of the cooler. east install

Cut my transmission temp down 100deg F
I had one before on my old trans, but the new one that came with a cooler not a radiator like this one. I went and got this one for my trans because the temps were getting up to 250deg F while towing and brought it down to 180deg F.

Perfect with some additional parts
Works great on my 2008 Jeep Wrangler unlimited. I did have to go buy some male-male hose connectors but other than was the perfect solution for me.

quality built, and no leaks
Used this for extra trans cooling for my Th350. Heat is the killer of transmissions! Parts were good quality for the price and all the fitting were decent with no leaks due to poor craftsmanship. I connected to trans with AN6 PTFE lines-no problems.
