so where is this source from? also from Salt Lake?? also isn't Magnesium Chloride considered hard to absorb as well??

Hello, Michelle!  GINNEY emailing you today - actually, the source of our minerals is San Bernadino, California!  We have a unique and proprietary source for the ReMag that distinguishes it from other magnesium products.  In terms of the mag chloride, ReMag is a liquid ionic solution containing pico size ions in solution. ReMag contains Mg+ (positively charged magnesium ions) and Cl2- (negatively charged chloride ions). Ions possess what is known as valency states. A balanced valency state is 0. Ions are typically very unstable particles looking to become neutral. Our technology ensures individual ions in solution remain individual (monoatomic) through stabilization (creating a neutral charge), without bonding to become complex molecules and thus we distinguish them from weak complex ionic solutions by calling them picometer minerals. Ions for example, have the tendency to bond with hydrogen and oxygen to form magnesium oxides and hydroxides. Our process ensure that the magnesium ions do not do this, but that they rather stay as individual mg+ ions, the form most suitable to the body and also requiring next to no digestive energy.The real secret of our process is that we control all the factors in the ionization process so that the finished product is a monoatomic picometer-sized ionic form of magnesium and will remain so due to its electrically neutral stability. Purity is the other factor that makes ReMag very different from other classes of magnesium.So basically ions electrically bond or stabilize with other ions so that their total charge becomes neutral (valency = 0). For example, sodium which has a valency of +1 bonds with chloride which has a valency of -1. Both these ions will electrical balance together in order to get a neutral molecule. Ions are not very stable, they are very reactive hence we cannot usually find an ion in nature without an opposing charged ion. (Think of a magnet. You cannot get a magnet with only one pole, it always has a + and a – pole)So, what about chloride? Chloride is an essential mineral for humans. It is a major mineral nutrient that occurs primarily in body fluids. Chloride is the most abundant negatively charged ion of the blood, it represents approximately 70% of the body’s total negative ion content. Chloride serves as one of the main electrolytes of the body. Chloride, in addition to other minerals like potassium, magnesium and sodium, assist in the conduction of electrical impulses in the body. In addition to its functions as an electrolyte, chloride combines with hydrogen in the stomach to make hydrochloric acid which is critical to the digestion process. Chloride ions play a pivotal role in pH regulation in the body. A constant exchange of chloride and bicarbonate ions, between red blood cells and the blood plasma helps to control the pH balance and transport of carbon dioxide, a waste product of breathing, from the body.High intakes of dietary chloride typically occurs with the ingestion of large amounts of salt and potassium chloride (salt substitutes). The toxic effects of such diets, such as fluid retention and high blood pressure, are attributed to the high sodium and potassium ion levels, not the chloride ion directly. Chloride toxicity has not been observed in humans except in the special case of impaired sodium metabolism and kidney failure, a condition where the body will have a hard time balancing all minerals.Healthy individuals can tolerate the intake of very large quantities of chloride and the body easily excretes excess chloride through the kidneys. Chloride toxicity or excess is only ever seen in individuals with existing kidney disease and chloride alone is not the cause of the disease. Chloride and high blood pressure links? High chloride intake does not cause high blood pressure. Sodium and potassium imbalance in the body is a contributing factor to high blood pressure. Your body removes unwanted fluid by filtering your blood through your kidneys, via osmosis, to draw excess water out of your blood. This requires a balance of sodium and potassium to pull the water across the wall from the bloodstream into a collecting channel in the kidney. A high salt diet will alter this sodium balance, causing the kidneys to have reduced function and remove less water resulting in higher blood pressure. This puts strain on the kidneys and can lead to kidney disease. High sodium diets are typically low in potassium and other minerals further contributing to the issue. It is a known fact that increasing potassium and magnesium intake alone has a positive impact on high blood pressure associated with high sodium intake. Lowering sodium intake has the same effect, and the reason is that high blood pressure is the function of sodium and potassium balance.A high sodium intake has been shown to increase the amount of protein in the urine which is a major risk factor for the decline of kidney function. There is also increasing evidence that a high salt intake may increase deterioration of kidney disease in people already suffering from kidney problems. These factors are attributed to sodium ions (Na+) and not the Chloride ion (Cl-). Unfortunately people incorrectly associate the word chloride with sodium. Sodium and sodium chloride are not the same thing. Sodium can be found in other compounds, for example (Na2CO3), baking soda (NaHCO3), caustic soda (NaOH) . Sodium and chloride ions have a distinctly different functions in the body. Chloride levels are not claimed on the label of ReMag products. This is a function of FDA labeling laws. The label correctly states the "source" of the magnesium as being Mg chloride. We are only allowed to, or required to list chloride concentration if we intend ReMag to be BOTH a magnesium and a chloride supplement, which we do not. The magnesium itself is derived from 99.99% pure elemental magnesium which is itself isolated from dolomite or magnesite deposits. Our process purifies and stabilizes the magnesium ions in solution, ensuring the ions remain isolated and unbound in pico size for maximum absorption. Is it possible to get this shipped without all those styrafoam peanuts?  The bottle Is not even glass.  I am trying to find environmentally conscious

Do you have a magnesium oil to apply to the skin for pain etc?

In "the magnesium miracle," dr. dean mentions remag capsules. is remag still available in capsule form?

Hello!  ReMag Capsules are still in development. You can make your own capsules by purchasing empty veggie caps from your local drug store, filling them and using them each day.  We have tons of customers who do that - the key is not to make too many too far in advance because the capsules will melt eventually.
