Very Easy to Use
Works easily and as advertised and much better the the manual flow meters of the past. Its simplicity makes it easy to clean and operate. Because the tube you blow into protrudes from the device, it's probably not one you would keep in your pocket. I recommend storing it in the box it comes with to keep it undamaged.

Easy-peasy.
The instructions look very intimidating, but operating it is super simple. One button, three breaths, that’s it. Highly recommended.

Gives me something to track
I have COPD and have been hospitalized a couple of times for exacerbations. I bought this as part of my efforts to set up an early warning system to keep me out of the hospital. My FEV is comparable to what it was the last time I had pulmonary function testing and it varies day to day but gives me one piece of information that I didn't have without this gadget. I'd love to test it on someone with known excellent function.I don't regret the purchase but can't really get excited about something that gives me bad news on a daily basis.

Not user friendly
This might be a very good device. However, the directions that came with it are incomplete and the website for determining how to set the values is not working for me. I realize I may not be understanding what I'm reading, but that's my point. If something is user friendly, it's easy to understand.

A bit complicated but seems to give consistent readings
The device is made of a decent quality plastic material and is well constructed overall. At this point I’ve used it dozens of times and the device itself seems to give fairly consistent readings. The only complaint I really have is that the instructions could do a better job of explaining the meaning and significance of the measurements. I had to dosome research and reading to fully understand what I was measuring and how to interpret the results. That’s not really a fault in the product I suppose, as presumably this is the sort of device a respiratory tech or someone with respiratory issues who frequently needs to take these sort of measurements would use and would likely be better situated to understand them. But given that there seems to be some variance in how these type measurements are measured and interpreted across devices, a clearer explanation in the instructions would be helpful.Other than that, though, I have no complaints and am pretty happy with the product.

An essential part of your home health monitoring
As I get older I am more conscious of my health and maintaining good health, I like to track all the vitals I can at home so I can discuss them during my regular doctor’s visits. This Sonmal Peak Flow Meter Portable Spirometer is just what I needed to add to my health-tracking routine.I walk and workout regularly so I like to be able to keep up with my respiration to ensure that my lungs are working the way they should. It seems that time with your doctor gets shorter and shorter so having your records gives you something you can discuss with them and ensure that you don’t have any problems.I am going to be using this meter daily because I do lung exercises to increase my breathing capacity and want to keep track of my progress since this meter measures PEF & FEV1 values and provides visual indicators if you have any risks. This is another valuable tool in my quest to stay healthy. The unit itself is convenient to hold and simple to operate, it has an easy-to-read screen and has only an on-off button and the tube you blow into. The unit takes two AAA batteries, which are included, it comes with a chart to keep track of your readings, an excellent user manual that is easy to read and it includes a code to scan to download an app for an Android or iOS phone which connects to the meter to keep track of your daily readings.

This device is based off of what YOU set it up to monitor. Many are not confide In what they either look up or are told as a baseline. It would make it easier if a device already comes with settings installed.
