Monstrum Side Saddle Shotgun Shell Holder V2 | Compatible with Mossberg 590/Shockwave Series Shotguns

Fits a Maverick 88 perfectly. Install is easy and straight forward. Looks great and holds the shells tight enough that I’m not worried about them slipping out while wearing it with a sling. Not much else to say, it’s a great product for the look and utility.

Rail fits perfectly onto the Mossberg Maverick 88, just be careful not to overtighten any screws when you secure it to the firearm. This picatinny rail gives you so many more options for modern day optics to be mounted for use, although you can use the original bead iron sights through the center channel after install if you really want. Be careful when sliding on the mount to avoid any of the scracthing issues people have talked about, just go slow and thoughtful, I installed mine with no issues. Very impressed by the overall construction and feel, as well as the shells holding snugly without any visible migration.

Update: manufacturer sent me spare parts. And I drilled it out.Very snug fit scratched outside my receiver. I don’t intend to fire this often so this will be fine for me. Rail and ammo slots seem to work well.Note about instructions make sure you fully retract your receiver on the 88 to replace the screw mentioned instructions skipped that step.I know how hard steel can be to work with so for the price and after the inconvenience I’d say it’s fair would have been 5 stars if it hadn’t scratched up the outside.Bought the product unboxed noticed a small scratch along the pin tried to undo one of the screws to install and first side came out fine but other side was channel blocked and got stripped.Seems to be a common occurrence one side is in to tight and channel locked.(I did not use any tools other than those provided by oem and I’m an industrial maintenance technician.)

This is a good and strong apparatus holds the 6 12g shells nice and firm.

Fits the Mossberg Maverick 88 perfectly seen a lot of YouTube videos saying it scratching the receiver but the V2 fits perfectly without scratching and with the hardware it's fits tightly made of quality material not overly heavy to add a lot of weight and enough room the still utilize the front bead if you mount a red dot that is nice to know you still have a back up I'm particular on quality and looks and I would highly recommend this for anyone who wants to add for tactical purposes
