These are for veterinary use... squirting meds into a dogs mouth without being bitten by hooking it in the corner of the mouth. I don't use them for that. Filled with WeldWood brand contact cement from a big can, I squirt and work the cement into the threaded seams of sneakers, boots, raingear, tents, backpacks, etc. This results in a rubberized seam that will not pull open and leak at the thread holes, and it prevents abrasion and rot of cotton threads in the seams, which more than doubles the life of expensive gear. Two words of warning though. If you use it with WeldWood, you need to not roll up gear or tent for three days to prevent seams sticking together or having dirt stick on them, so prepare in advance in the back yard, not while hiking. And, stick with Weldwood brand because it stays waterproof, whereas other brands do not.
