Letter Box draught excluder was delivered quickly and arrived in perfect condition. The product itself is well made, even though the listing gives the impression of aluminium construction, this is ONLY the flap, the framework around is of a strong plastic construction in a grey/silver colour - once place it looks fine. Excluder was very simple to install, I was replacing a damaged one, so I was able to simply screw this in place using existing holes in rear of my door. The brush bars can 'restrict' mail being pushed through - I remedied this by simply removing the brush bars and using a sharp scalpel, took around 5mm from both the top and bottom brush bars. This will not effect the 'draught' exclusion, as the flap itself also has a strip of draught excluder along the inside bottom. The removal of a small amount of bristle, was great - I was able to push flimsy envelopes through the box with ease. The brush bars can easily be removed completely if you desire, then there will be no restriction at all. It certainly looks good quality and makes the inside of my door look neat again. Would recommend this product.

Easy to put on, and opens nicely

Very good interior letter box, you can tell it's good quality that has been well made (apart from the top brush but keep reading). Keeps out draughts perfectly and also looks nice unlike the cheap plastic type ones...however when I came to install this I noticed the bolt holes for my external letter box lined up in the exact same position as the interior holes for the letter box causing a bit of modification, also as others have stated on here the top brush sometimes comes out when the post is delivered causing you to put it back in place, sorted with a bit of super glue not a major problem but still annoying (hence 4 stars)...apart from that very pleased with my purchase.

The fit (mostly) and finish on our door is good, however it does have a couple of issues:1. The brushes fit together very tightly, so allied to a very stiff flap Postie has a real job trying to get the post through the door. This was partly solved when one brush came off, but that rather defeated the object. No matter, I thought, because it fits so well, it should still be draught-free, even with a single brush. However, we reckoned without:2. Whilst the flap and some of the frame is very robust, the lower frame seems much more flimsy, and because it is not screwed down it has bowed allowing draughts to come through. It is fixable if I can be bothered to drill and screw the frame, but it's a niggle nonetheless.

excellent item easy to fit 2 minutes

The media could not be loaded. I got this this morning and was eager to get to try it out so got to work to instal it which should have been a simple enough job. I thought I would try this brand as its been so difficult to find a interior letter box flap and draft excluder to replace my old one due to all the different sizes. I bought this as it had some decent reviews (but not all) and was a brand name. It wasn't a perfect fit size wise but most importantly it would cover the existing aperture without me having to carve out a bigger hole. I read the distance of the holes width was perfect which Is why I decided to buy this one 275.5, but frustrating not one list tells you the depth distance apart of the holes that are drilled in the plate, sadly the holes were too far apart so I had to drill two separate holes in the plate to be able to fit it properly with 4 screws. I fixed it but then couldn't get a letter through the letter box without a real struggle to get it past the really tough bristles. I had to remove the whole thing and trim the bristles a cm each side. Refitted it and still could't put a single letter through without having to fold it several times. I had to take it of the door again and trim almost all the bristles off which still caused issues. I took it off again and basically removed the bristles parts completely and managed to fit the ones from my old one - which took a bit of time as I had to trim them as they where bigger. I refitted it for the forth time and it kind of works - however, with my postie came at lunch time today he still struggled a bit - due to the strength of the spring back flap. He wasn't so impressed but at least he did get a letter through. So it was a really botch up job and I am not impressed with this at all. £12 for something that I basically had to destroy half of it and rebulid it to make it work. I would not recommend this brand at all. I attached some pics, you can see I end up trimming almost all the bristles of so eventually removed them with the end of a screwdriver and replaced with some softer bristles from my old devise.

Very good, value for money letter box brush cover. Very pleased with it.

Not fit for purpose... every time anything of any weight or volume comes through the letter box one or both of the brushes come off. It is possible if time consuming to fit them back and eventually one has to come to the conclusion that the item is badly designed and ... not fit for purpose
