Made a world of difference. Bought this as a little suprise for my husband for the garage.Installation was a breeze. Husband screwed one into our single garage open light bulb socket, and suddenly it feels like there's some daylight in there. Which is much better than the previous horror movie basement feel.He immediately came to get me so I could see the dramatic difference. I actually don't mind going out there now. Even reached to the corners. Our garage is listed as a two-car garage, it isn't really, there's no way to get two cars through that door, but that gives you an idea of the room size. The ceiling is open rafters, and half the walls are open to the studs, so there's nothing for light to bounce around on. Which made this product a good choice.My husband also really likes how he can direct the individual arms where he wants them. So if we're wanting to light up the whole garage we have them them angled upwards and out, but if he wants to work at a specific spot, he bends them down 180 degrees to lighten that spot even more. Obviously this still means that when you're working at the edges of the garage you create your own Shadow, but I'm thinking of using the second one in the pack in a lamp stand to address that.We are curious as to the lifespan of the lights. Particularly since my husband insists on leaving them on 24/7 so that our motion detector will work. Most people don't understand that switching lights on and off all the time is actually harder on them than leaving them on... At least it used to be the case, I suspect it still is for these new little LED types but I really don't know.The build quality seems perfectly functional and lightweight. Black color fits for my husband's sensibility of a garage.

I have only had these installed for about a week now. I initially got them for use in my garage to replace two, single bulb ceiling bare bulb fixtures. It was a huge improvement. I then re-ordered and put one in a large crawlspace and another in a utility room.The ability to adjust where the light is being directed ended up being more useful than I imagined. The light is a very bright, cool white. Perfect for this application.What I don't know yet is how long they will last. I will update if there are problems.

Purchased these to use in an unfinished basement room we use as a workshop. We used one to replace a fluorescent light fixture with the long bulbs and the other in a standard light fixture. Together they provide significant light without blinding you. The adjustable panels are great for directing light to where you need it which is great for older eyes like ours. When adjusting the individual panels, we got the sense that they are a little fragile and wouldn't last long if you were constantly adjusting. Fortunately we don't have to. I plan to buy more for our garage once the bulbs burn out.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I have gotten 2 five blade lights for our big shed before and they are bright and I saw this 6 blade light for a small shed light. It definitely looks great and puts out a great amount of light.

So new review as promised for the product itself. Surprisingly the return process for this one was fairly simple. All I had to do was drive to my local kohls, Amazon provided all of the return info and labels (I didn’t have access to a printer at the time) and too approximately two minutes and I asked “is that it?” And happily found out it was lol.So after getting a replacement box with new units, I was able to swap out the bad unit with good, but then also noticed that even in the new unit box, there were two almost consider 3 defective as well right at the same spot, one had a booger weld that somehow got to the outside of the connector which can cause issues, and the other two the metal cap connectors were coming off the base.So out of two boxes, I have four what seem to be working and currently safe lights that honestly, they do a great job. Not even going to light with two lights in my basement (which has 4 lights on one side) I can now light vividly see with two. And now my garage looks like it actually has somewhat of shop lights compared to my old led fan style lights. Only concerns I really have atm are how durable are they and how long with they last safely. Will keep updated as we go, and hopefully will be able to provide more pics soon.So over all I’m at a shaky 4 but that may change, mainly a 4 and not a 2 because of the quality of light it produces, all I gotta say tho is don’t look directly into them lol (obviously a joke)Hope this helps and have a great day!

Like most basements mine is dark, and you need LIGHT for the kind of things you do there. These lights REALLY brighten the basement and make it easier to find things.The only warning I would give is to think in advance where you will put them. Basements ceilings typically have pipes and ducting, etc., and you cannot adjust the tilt of the light to avoid these.The downside? The good lighting shows how dirty the basement can be, so I am pressured to keep it cleaner!

These lights are pretty straight forward. They arrived quickly and I immediate screwed them in.....then.....boom! The magic happened.Pros: quick shipping, great price. They are cheaper than the average smart light bulb. So if they don't last for the hours stated, I have no problem replacing. The light output is amazing. I was afraid that with so much output it would cast shadows in other areas of my garage , though you can adjust the panels. I tried every configuration and never got dark areas. This makes working in my garage shop so much easier.....I can see everything. Including how dirty my garage is, lol. I bought and addition similar light that doesn't screw in to bulb outlet for my work area and I don't need it, these do the trick!Cons: none!Get these, you will not be sorry. I am ordering another set for my attic lights.

Very bright. These lights really light up a room and you can move the paddles on the light to direct them where you want the most light.
