I didn't take pics of before or after, like a doofus. I was so excited it worked so well I wanted to slap on the new silicone ASAP.But this stuff did exactly what it said on the tube, I slathered it all over the silicone I had applied a few days before, which looked like I had applied it with my face.Left it for a few hours, and the simply wiped it away, low and behold - no more wonky silicone! Ready for me to re apply, this time not with my face.So, need to hide your shameful lazy attempt at finished your sink sealing? this is the stuff!

This works really well as long as you spend time getting the majority of the sealant off beforehand using a scraper or blade. Once you've done this it is great for removing any residue. Note there isn't much of the stuff - there was enough to do two sides of my shower tray with a bit left over. I reckon there's enough to go down a short and long edge of a bath.I'm giving 4 stars because they don't make it obvious that you'll need to do a lot of work scraping before you can use this effectively.

I was removing old, horrible silicone sealant from around the lid of a top-loading boat fridge. It was a really yucky, horrible job, and the old sealant was hard, dried-up and with all sorts of embedded gunk and mess (previous owners' gunk and mess, to make it even worse, not ours).I was getting fed up with scraping at the old sealant despite having a good scraper tool that worked well, so I decided to give this product a try.It's true that it is 'thick gel', which means it does not run. But it also means it's a little hard to spread, although it's perfectly do-able, albeit a little messy. Better that than a runny product though, as it does not end up going everywhere.I left it on for a bit longer than it says on the instruction and it made it so much easier to get it off with a scraper tool. It also ended up cleaning the stains (rust stains?) around the lid, which was an unexpected bonus.It did not stink as much as I was expecting it to, either.Overall, it worked well. I needed a bit of patience to allow enough time for it to work, but I'm very happy with the result.I recommend that you make sure to wipe it off properly before applying the new sealant, or it may not stick as well as it should.

It wasn't easy to apply. It comes out as a jelly which just moves around instead of sitting on top of the sealant. A thick paint would be easier to apply.It probably did help remove sealant but brute force did most of the job.

Used this on kitchen worktop seal and around the bath. Just scrape off the best you can, then apply. Leave 10 mins & scrape off. Smell is acceptable too

Good but i had to use WD40 as well with it on a concrete wall with pebble dash, very difficult,somebody had filled the cracks with silicone sealant and paint came off the sealand

A great product, that does what it says on the tin. I had a silicone removal job and I removed most of the old silicone with a scraper knife. I then spread this on the remnants and left it overnight. The next morning, most of the remaining silicone rubbed right off. A few stubborn spots were sorted with a Stanley knife blade. Wear gloves and a respirator mask when using - top product, recommended!
