Fun but not well executed
So much potential ruined by subpar writing. I’d only recommend this one to avid cold case game players…or people who don’t get too annoyed by details. So, this game has a TON of evidence, and that evidence is well produced as far as materials. It’s a lot to go through, which to me is a positive. The problem is that some of the evidence is poorly written (e.g. and this shouldn’t be a spoiler - there is an insurance document that was evidently written by someone who has no idea how insurance works…unless the insurance doc is supposed to be fake, which was never confirmed by anything in the game) and even with all of that evidence, not all of the innocent characters are convincingly alibied by it. I did guess the correct answer without taking any clues, but it frustrated me that it seemed like the game wanted me to take a couple of weak alibis as conclusive. The game would have played better if some of the fluff evidence had been replaced by corroborating evidence for alibis. And don’t even get me started on motive and means. Fortunately, I can’t discuss those without spoilers. Ultimately, the case is solvable as written and fine to pick up if you like this style game.

Fun Game Night
I loved how challenging this one was. Great for beginners or seasoned wannabe detectives. Great price. We loved solving this as a group!

Family fun!
This mystery did not have as many technology pieces, those made the other mysteries more fun. But my teenage daughter and I still had lots of fun solving the mysteries!

Very in-depth, fun for couples
Played this with my partner during a power outage. I’ve done a few in the past & this was his second one.Of the University Games Murder Mystery Party games (like this one), my favorite is still The Night Hunter, but this was still more fun than some of the other brands.LOTS of evidence/context to read through, plenty to lead players in different directions with varying theories, and compiled in a way that players with good attention to detail will be satisfied with the play through as there are ‘subtle’ things to pick up on to help with the solve without making things too difficult. I’d say it’s relatively easy compared to other games that have a variety of different puzzles to work through - I think this one only had 1 unique type of puzzle.Keep in mind there’s no need to rush through it & you’ll find you get good value for a couple hours of screenless entertainment. I’d recommend keeping notes on something separate from the game so the materials can be recycled/reused by someone else!
