Excellent Amp
Forget about the size of the amp. I have it driving a pair of Kef 304s from an Astell&Kern 1000SS (optical out) or BT via an iPhone 16 and the sound is warm, full and clearly detailed. Unless you have a really large living room, there is more than enough power to fill a room with music. It can get way too much bass just by cranking the Bass control up a bit. Treble is clear, not shrill.I wasn't sure what to expect from it, especially based on its size, but for a hundred bucks it's a steal.Kef 304Frequency Response: 60Hz to 20kHzPower Handling: 100WRecommended Amplifier Power: 10W (minimum)Impedance: 8ΩSensitivity: 87dB (Sensitivity indicates the volume produced at a given power level, with higher numbers indicating more volume.)Drivers:2 x 200mm cone Bass drivers1 x 25mm soft dome TweeterEnclosure: 38 liter, closed boxDimensions: 680 x 280 x 315mmWeight: 25 kg

Great looks, good connectivity, good sound.
First, I like this little guy so much that I bought a second one to use at my brother's house. I love the retro sorta-steampunk aesthetic (this would fit right in to Dr. Frankenstein's lab), I like the connectivity, and I like the sound. My only gripe is that I wish it would get quieter. Sometimes in the evening I'd like it to be quieter than the minimum volume setting; the volume goes straight from "off" to "not as quiet as I'd like." For normal daytime use, this isn't an issue. For the unit that I'm using by my workbench in the garage, it certainly isn't an issue. And if you're using it with a source that has an independent volume control, it wouldn't be an issue, but I'm usually using it with a thumb drive and sometimes I want it to be quiet enough that I can hear it but maybe nobody else in the house can. Yeah, I should get headphones . . .Anyway, great little unit, great aesthetics.

A Basic Beauty
I simply cannot believe my ears. My previous three amplifiers were a Yamaha, a Marantz, and an NADC – 700. The last one stopped working, and I ordered a Cambridge AXR 100. I was not satisfied with the Cambridge because of the imaging and sound stage was poor so I thought I would try this one. I really did not expect anything, but just wanted to try it out. I am moving and I just needed something to hold me over. Boy was I shocked. The warmth, depth and sound stage on. This are absolutely amazing. The detail is crisp without being brittle, even at low volumes. The sound is simply amazing. I have listened to classical, jazz, Barbra Streisand‘s new album, and a little bit of rock and the one thing that is consistent is the faithful reproduction of the sound and the unbelievable separation and imaging you get with all genres of music.I cannot speak to reliability as I have just had it for one day. But it was very easy to set up. The only reason I gave it a four is the Bluetooth is a little quirky. Extremely easy to pair, but it flickers in and out, especially if you don’t hold your phone still. I’m only about 6 1/2 feet away from the amplifier. There is no passive subwoofer output, the holes in which to place your speaker wire are really difficult to thread because they are smaller than usual, and there is no plug for headphones. Basic sound reproduction you can spit a lot more money, but I don’t think you’re gonna get better sound quality than you get with this little amp. The warmth of the vocals on some of the Frank Sinatra, and Barbra Streisand albums will just knock you out, I have listened to a little bit of Ariana Grande, James Taylor, a touch of Taylor, Swift, and other music on the alternative charts. All I can say is just go ahead and get it. It is worth the $105. You’re going to pay for it. Highly recommended.

Completely satisfied from the first minute of play
Totally satisfied. Clean, excellent sound right from startup. Did not even require a warmup or break in.I owned an NAD 1050 D. Expensive, upwards of $700 when purchased. Never liked it. I’d owned NAD stuff before but was badgered into downsizing by my wife. So I went with that unit. Never happy with how long it took for the sound to normalize.Had fantasized about a McIntosh but knew I’d get grief for a large amp.Took a chance on this one for a little over $110.LOVE IT. TERRIFIC SOUND. Happy once again. And for a bargain price.A very good day. I’m loving it going on three weeks now. The Bluetooth works so well with Spotify, unlike the old NAD 1050.

Works Great!
I almost bought this JUST because it looks cool - but I saw it receives Bluetooth and can work as a pre-amp going into a standard input on a stereo. MUCH better sound then the 'card' Bluetooth receiver I was using and yes the Douk even looks cooler in person with a working VU meter and tubes that light up.

One happy musician!
I wanted something that sounded really good and warm. I wanted clarity and power and the optical was a must have.Let's be honest very few things have RCA or composite connectors these days..The price of this amplifier is a fantastic bang for your buck! After hooking up some bookshelf speakers I cranked this up and it nearly brought a tear to my eye! I was so happy!Nothing about this unit looks or feels cheap. It was easy to set up and it's got the warmth you want. It connected effortlessly to Bluetooth and optical.I'll recommend this to my friends and family. Super awesome!

I’ll probably end up with more of these..
It’s great! Don’t hesitate it sounds fantastic for the price. Just know that it’s really around 30w-40w depending on ohms of speakers. The remote and excellent Bluetooth chip add to its enjoyment. I’ve been using it as a PA system for my music looping setup and tried it on some vintage KLH model 6 speakers and sounded epic. The 2 band eq on the unit is nice too.
