Q: Are these thin like regular nylon no show socks or thick like athletic socks ?

They are in between. A thinner material than the usual athletic socks, they are ultra soft and smooth so they don't add bulk to shoes which are already well-fitted. I love that they have a silicone insert on the inside at the heel of the sock so that they don't crawl down into the shoe when you walk.

Q: What shoe size is the Large?

The ones I bought went by shoe size not SML. I have the women’s shoe size 8-10. I wear a size 8 and there is room in the heel to stretch larger for sure. They are great socks. They don’t slip down at all.

Q: Would they show under a standard women's loafer, like Ralph Lauren patent leathers?

I don't think the peds will show. The highest point is 2 1/2 inches from the tip of my big toe. High enough to not slip off. Hope this helps.

Q: Do they stop you from getting a blister on the back of your foot?

Blisters on the back of the foot would appear at the point where the shoe rubs the heel. The pad on the sock is going to fall in different locations for different people, depending on their foot size. The pad is thick enough to prevent a blister if the pad rides on the heel where the blister is occurring.
