UPPERCASE GhostCover Premium Ultra Thin Clear Keyboard Protector for MacBook Air 2010-2017 and MacBook Pro 13" 15" 17" with or Without Retina Display, 2015 or Older Version

A couple months ago, I decided to clean the keyboard for my desktop, and it turned out to be a hassle to clean it simply because it was really dirty. When I bought my MacBook Pro, a few days later I decided that the money I invested on the computer meant that I really needed to take care of it as much as I could. With that in mind, I decided to get a protector for my keyboard. Just as other people, I was not disappointed with this protector. The cover is fantastic!Just as other people, It took me a while to get used to the feel of typing on the cover, but that is to be expected. Luckily, it took me less than an hour to adjust to typing on this keyboard protector. After adjusting to the keyboard cover and the feel, it felt natural typing on my MacBook. The only thing is that you could feel the shape of the protector when you really push hard when typing - but that is to be expected, and you get used to it anyways; I thought that was a detail worth mentioning. But please do not let that detract you from purchasing this cover. Honestly, any protector will give you that sensation anyways. Also, when typing, the protector does not slide around, which is a bonus. It is simply a perfect fit.Moreover, the fact that the protector is made from a transparent silicon material makes it great. Because it's transparent and once adjusted to the feel, you forget that you have a protector on your keyboard. The cover will be visible in the light, but that is to be expected. Either way, it does not look bad in the light. In the dark and even with the backlight from the keyboard, you cannot see the protector.Honestly, the price to quality ratio in my opinion, is definitely fair. In a good way, you don't get what you pay for because you get much more, if that makes any sense. In other words, this protector is so cheap and the quality is really good that it makes the price seem very low.Overall, the price, quality, look, feel, and construction of the protector is definitely worth it. If you have a MacBook or are planning to invest in one, and if you want to protect it and make it last to the last part of it, this keyboard protector is definitely worth considering. It definitely deserves to be on the top of anybody's list of "things to get" for any MacBook user or future owner.

This is the thinnest and by far the best protector i've ever used.Anyone that has had a Apple laptop with the black chiclet keyboard knows that eventually the keyboard gets that bad worn out polished appearance and tactile feel. Using this protector ensures that matte finish and appearance of the keyboard is preserved, I feel this is important if you plan on reselling your Apple laptop. The protector just rests on top of the keyboard and is an exact match fit contouring every single key. No need to worry that it will fall off the keyboard even though it is just resting there. As long as you do not hold your laptop upside down with the screen open its not going anywhere. But who realistically does that? Before I forget, the protector is clear so when the keys on your Macbook light up in the dark you can see them just as easily as without the protector.The only down side, is that the protector does slightly change the force you need to use when typing. It only took me an afternoon to adjust. I do not consider this a deal breaker, but some of you that type for a living might not like that at first. Just like any protector out there, it will change some of the feel and tactile nature of the keyboard.In addition to the above, you also get increased protection from small spills. Usually when spilling a drink on a laptop it somehow always seems to drain right through the keyboard casing the most damage (speaking from experience on this one) Also as this protector picks up hand grime and oils, you can put it in your dishwasher and bam, its clean and nice feeling as the day you get it. Just ensure you put it in the top rack since I would hate for it to melt on you :/As always the price of this protector seems too good to be true, but Amazon can almost magically save you a significant amount of money.

This was exactly what I was looking for. It "snaps" so to say right over the keys and fits perfectly. It is extremely thin and I don't notice it at all when typing. You can keep it over the keys when you close the laptop and it is so thin that it doesn't interfere at all. It is easy to remove and if it gets extremely dirty I just wash it with some water and let it dry overnight at least before putting it back on. It is so nice to not worry about getting too much dust or a crumb stuck under the keys. I would easily give it 5 stars, but the price is way more than most of the other ones out there. I guess you get what you pay for.EDIT: I have owned this keyboard cover for a year now, and it is still in like new condition, even after moderate daily use. I am very satisfied with how it has held up. It still snaps over my keys and the material seems to show no sign of wear, even over the most used keys or along the edges. It is worth the price and then some. I could not recommend this enough.Update: I have now used this daily for 4 years. There is obvious wear on the space bar and main keys that I use, and there is minor warping on the enter key. The incredible part is that the keys on my 2014 MacBook Pro still look new. I would buy this over and over and over again, but I won’t need to because it functions incredibly well and is durable enough to last as long as many computers.
