Love that it folds into its bag for on-the-go use.

My son is 23 month old, about 26 lbs. We are leaving for a trip soon and I wanted a portable potty since we are potty trained for #2 incidents. Sadly, during our FIRST home trial to get my son used to this portable potty, it snapped into two and my son almost fell into the toilet! To be fair, my son was twisting around to see the owl's eyes and hence his weight was shifted to one side but I feel like this is still too fragile. Given the stellar reviews of this product, I am willing to order another and give it a try. Hopefully I got a defective model and others are more resilient. I will update if I see improved results.Update: I ordered a second seat soon after the first one broke (I assume this one did not have new, improved strengthened joints since it was back in 3/2018 ). I have been using the second seat for at least a year and I am happy to report there have been zero issues. I have even taken it on trips, tightly packed in check-in luggage, with no problems. I assume the first seat was defective. The seller also reached out to me to make sure everything was okay. I am updated my review to reflect the great customer service and the quality/sturdiness of the second seat.

My husband didn't believe it was worth it until our 3-year-old flipped out sitting in a public restroom toilet worried that he would fall in. Our son weighs about 34 pounds and we've been using it for about six months. Really, the Gimars seat makes any toilet seat more toddler friendly. We store it in what was once his diaper bag but it's easy enough to throw in any bag. I wash mine with soap and wipe it down frequently with Clorox wipes. While we could easily use OXO Tot 2-in-1 Go Potty for Travel - Gray on public restroom toilets, the Gimars is more compact so we save the Oxo Tot for a stand-alone potty in the car. The Gimars seat folds up really compactly into plastic inner storage bag and a carry bag.My husband lost both the inner storage bag and the carry bag and I contacted Gimars customer service and they sent me one RIGHT AWAY. The customer service was excellent for a $14.99 product.

So we love this seat! My daughter uses this more than the ones with handles. It’s easy to use, it just folds up and you take it with you in the convenient bag provided. Then I just wipe it down after each use. I highly recommend this to all my family and friends. Best potty training tool!

I love the idea of this product. However I've found that it does still slip and even though it prevents my daughter from having to sit directly on a public potty, I'm still weirded out by the product itself touching the public toilet. Getting it out of the bag and onto the potty isn't as quick as I'd like and I've found that most of the time I'd rather use one of those disposable covers or tissue to cover the toilet seat than to get this out and use it. I do like that it makes my daughter feel more secure and not like she's going to fall into the toilet, but as I already said it does slip on me so I don't feel comfortable putting her on it and not holding onto her still. Pros and cons to this product.UPDATE:Gimars contacted me after posting my original review of 3 Stars to see what the problem was exactly with the product. Being a mom of a 2 year old potty trainer as well as a newborn, I didn't respond to their message immediately. They proceeded to message me three days in a row. When I did respond and told them my issues with the product, they responded so quickly that they were doing an update to address my issues. They then asked if I was interested in receiving one of the updated versions for further testing and review. I said that I was. When I received the new product there are now 6 silicon strips on the bottom of the product to reduce slipping as opposed to the 4 that were on the original product that I bought. While the additional two strips do help, the biggest thing is ensuring that you use the fold down clips. These were with the original product I received, but I didn't use them every time.I'll tell you that I've bounced back and forth with this company between feeling like they were contacting me too frequently--they bordered on quite annoying--and being completely impressed with their customer service and efforts to ensure that their product is the best version it can be. They're certainly attentive. But as I said earlier...mom of a potty training two year old and a newborn (now 4 months old)...I don't have much time to get out and about as I did as a mom of one when I originally started using this product. I certainly feel the product was improved with their updates and wanted to update my review to reflect this. But it still isn't a 100% 5 Star product for me.
