Almost gave it 4 stars
Expensive, but this is a really high quality and very sturdy mount with great motion. Its probably grossly over-engineered for almost any monitor, even the 49" ultrawide behemoths. This is what you want if you have a really big monitor, want to mount a decent sized TV or you just want the best money can buy. That said, there is one monitor its can't quite deal with and that's the Samsung G9 Odyssey due to its ridiculous 1000R curve putting too much strain on the tilt mechanism. You need to buy a heavy duty tilt adapter that was made specifically to work with the G9, which you can find at this link:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08P53X9PF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1I think its ridiculous they charge an additional $65 just for it to work with a very popular monitor since its a mount that already costs $275, that's why I almost knocked off a star. The heavy duty tilt mechanism should be offered as an option. Still, I did research and don't know of any other mount which works with such a behemoth like the G9 so it still earns the full 5 stars.PRO TIP: for other prospective ultrawide owners: These things are huge and will take up most of your desk space, especially the G9 that's probably why you are looking at wall mounting it in the first place. It does work great to free up space underneath the monitor, but mounting it was more of a challenge than I thought. With a mount like the Ergotron If you want your monitor as close to the wall as possible (almost everyone would Id think) the mount position will be pretty far offset compared to the centerline of your monitor and it MUST be mounted to a stud. I strongly suggest you make sure you have a wall stud compatible with where you want the centerline of your monitor to be before you drop a lot of money on this. I am including a picture to help you visualize the offset. My problem was my desk being in the corner and I had a window in the way, so I had to offset the mount twice as wide as I previously thought I would because I didn't want to drill through my window trim. Still love it and it looks good but now I can't move my monitor to the other side of my desk. Oh well

A High Quality Arm for Larger Monitors
This high quality monitor arm is made of very nice looking polished aluminum. All of the necessary hardware is included to mount the arm on a variety of wall types and is also very high quality. Some necessary tools (allen wrenches) are also supplied. All hardware is in labeled packaging.Although I think this is a very worthwhile product, you should consider these COMMENTS:-The included cable duct doesn't work very well without additional tie wraps, especially if you have LOTS of cables because it pops out of place-- or is impossible to put into place. They ship this arm with some included velcro cables that are pre-threaded into the monitor arm. While this effort is appreciated, why not just wrap the cable ties around the outside of the arm? This is what I wind up doing anyway.-I used this arm with a large (42") monitor. This monitor had a VESA 200x200 mounting pattern. To their credit, Ergotron includes hardware "wings" to make this possible (see photo), but they are not very easy to use, nor are they very sturdy. I wound up purchasing an adapter plate that made my installation MUCH cleaner, sturdy, and professional. I have used monitor mounts with wings before, but they always included a way to keep the wings from "rotating". The Ergotron wings included nothing like this, and frankly, they need to address this.By the way, the adapter plate I used was: "Mount World 1056 VESA 200 x 200 Universal Adapter for Medium Mounts (Adapter can be used for tv from 23" - 42" size)" from right here on Amazon. It was perfect for this application after I included 10mm spacers.-Ergotron could do a better job of helping you figure out where to mount this on the wall: Perhaps they could put an excel worksheet on their website that helps you figure this out by plugging certain numbers into it, or include a wizard of some kind that steps you through it, then tells you plainly: Drill the top hole here: x.xxx. Drill the bottom hole here: y.yyy.Other Thoughts:-In general, I am very happy with all of the products that I have purchased from Ergotron. I will happily buy their products again.-Although I have lots of "COMMENTS" noted above, the product is very good and worthwhile.-My opinion: The monitor mount can be rotated. I think they should put the screw into the "fixed, non-rotation" hole and require its removal, rather than require its installation. Most of us aren't going to rotate the monitor.

very sturdy but expensive
Purchase this mount for my SAMSUNG Odyssey G9. being with all research done this mount turned out to be the pick for this monitor, mounting was a bit of work but once completed it was worth it as the monitor stand took up lots of space on the desk and with only slight tilt and up and down motion., with this mount total freedom with no space use on desk, it was worth the purchase for this reason, like title say very sturdy but expensive also purchase the heavy duty tilt as all reviews and research provided valid reason to need for such a big monitor. over all it is needed for a purchase of this size monitor and mount is well constructed I recommend to Ergotron why dont they offer this arm with the heavy duty pivot/tilt

You can never go wrong with Ergotron
As expected of the brand, Ergotron always makes the most sturdy and flexible mounts in the industry and this one is a good mount.I've been using them for over 10 years and gone through dozens of monitor mounts, but this one is easily one of my favorites. I bought 2 and they're each holding a 40" monitor with full swivel motion and 180º rotation. I'm able to switch from landscape to portrait mode in a matter of seconds. Additionally, it clears up all my desk space by having a large vertical range of motion.Even though is expensive af, but totally worth the money!PS: make sure you have a solid wall or an available 2x4 to attach this to. You'll expect to have a large amount of weight mounted in one single spot.

You get what you pay for
Definitely worth then money if you have an expensive heavy monitor. The quality is better than anything I’ve seen. Super stable, easy to install, good adjustability.
