I was a bit skeptical at first, but the Selens Photography Wall Mount exceeded all my expectations. Once installed, it became an essential part of my studio setup. These are very well built. The included hardware is foreign and useless. Use your own screws. Holds a good amount of weight. I am not going to test its limits, but it holds a medium sized soft box with a large CFL with ease. Plus a significant amount of weight from me applying pressure to make sure it's tight. It wouldn't budge. Make sure you are in a stud with 2 holes, and use anchors for the other 2 and you won't have a problem.The extension arm works, there really isn't a lot of difference from open to closed, but depending on your use they might be more useful to you. The fact that it's there was a plus because I had the idea of adding my own sections from my current stands so I could have them farther from the ceiling, but my old parts would not fit properly.Make sure youKnow where you want these before you install them, or even buy them. You are limited to a stud (if you don't make your own mount) and once it's installed you don't have a lot of options for movement other than one dimension of rotation and about 10 inches of extension.I ended up mounting these to my wall onstead of the ceiling since my ceiling is very high and the lighting angle wasn't going to work for me.These are perfect of you have a similar setup over and over and don't want to put away and setup lighting stands every time or have stands cluttering your floorspace.I would buy more of these if I needed them again.

We got tired to tripping around the light/camera tripods...saw these and found the solution! Easy to mount (mine are on the ceiling); easy to adjust. Wires for the lights go in command clips along the wall.

1/4" thread on the adapter enables this to be used to mount a studio microphone from a beam above. This helps space issues in a tight closet acoustic recording booth.

Overall I am happy with this wall mount. I'm mounting an LED video light panel to my wall. It's well built and sturdy. However, this did not come with traditional screws to mount this to the wall. It came with what appears to be concrete anchors. I'm not sure why they would assume we are mounting this in concrete and not wood/drywall. So I had to improvise with screws I had on-hand.

I bought this in order to hold an overhead camera from the ceiling rather than having to use my C-stand in an awkward and somewhat dangerous position and this thing came through perfectly. It's sturdy, and with the right screws and mounting, it's very sturdy.The package comes with screw hardware for mounting into concrete, but that was not my situation so I just used my own. I currently have two of the holes mounted directly onto a stud, and the other two secured with a screw into a drywall anchor. It holds up tight and I don't have to worry about it. I also plan on using it for my somewhat heavy softbox.I might get another one for suspending the main camera from the ceiling as well, but I would have to get a longer one so that the camera would be able to rest at face height. But I have some other hardware ideas for this additional setup. But overall, I'm very happy with this purchase.

This thing is fantastic. I use it to hang my lightbox on for my YouTube studio. It is easily adjustable and very very solidly built. Does not feel cheap at all and comes with everything needed to get setup asap. If installing this in drywall, make sure you use good anchors so it stays sturdy. You could even mount a camera on it if you wanted to, however i use this for lightboxes.I do plan to use this in a ceiling mounted position, so i can shoot unboxing videos from a birds eye view. Will update this review once i do that and see how it performs.
