Compact torch
With the upcoming potential blackouts, I was looking for a relatively cheap torch that can just be in the bedroom in case I need it. The torch is a compact size with a decent brightness that I think is accurate to its claim of 300lumens. Single button on the back to toggle on/off. It also switches between modes with a half-press although i dont use these. The torch features a zooming head. Its definitely at its best when fully zoomed out. You get a uniform field of light. Zoomed in is not so good. It becomes a silhouette of the LED chip so is difficult to see detail of what you are illuminating. But if you zoom out a little its ok.The case is aluminium and I would suspect it is able to handle wet weather as per its rating. 3 AAA batteries fit in a little holder which then slides into the torch. You can also use a 18650 battery which needs to be slid into a supplied tube before putting in the torch. I would guess this has a longer battery life than the 3 AAAs.Its a fine torch and I am very happy with it. Sure, its not as good as an LED Lenser, but its a fraction of the price and not far off. If you want a small, compact torch at a competitive price, then this is a good choice.

Fantastic- great light and range
Brilliant especially for the price. Small and handy, incredibly bright and long range which can be adjusted to focus. Fantastic product.

Led torch
The torch came as expected, but unfortunately it doesn't work, the batteries seem loose, so when it works it works well, but out of 3 timea switching it on it will turn on once, i will be sending it back and hoping to get another one as the light is really brightUPDATEThe company are sending a new one, which i am really happy about as it is perfect for my job

HANDY LITTLE TORCHES
REALLY GOOD VALUE PAIR OF SMALL TORCHES. THE WIDTH OF THE BEAM CAN BE ALTERED FROM TINY CIRCLE FOR READING TO A GOOD WIDE BEAM FOR MORE GENERAL USE. LIGHTWEIGHT TO HOLD AND SMALL ENOUGH TO KEEP IN YOUR POCKET. WE KEEP ONE IN THE CAR FOR EMERGENCIES - IT CAME IN VERY HANDY THE OTHER NIGHT WHEN i HAS TO READ SOME INSTRUCTIONS IN THE DARK.

Ergonomic and bright
EDIT: I wrote the original review below after owning the torch for a few days. I had a gripe with the torch having five different modes and that the on/off switch cycles automatically through all the modes rather than simply switching the torch on and off. After discovering this slightly disappointing feature, I put the torch away and didn't use it for a while. Then a few weeks ago I needed to use it. I switched it on and it was set on full beam, which is what I wanted - a happy coincidence, though I anticipated it being on disco mode or whichever the next time I used it. I put the torch away and then a few days later had to use it again. I switched it on: full beam. That's odd, I thought. I switched it off and then on again. Full beam. Tried again, and again. Full beam every time. Now whenever I switch it on, I just get the full beam mode, i.e. exactly what I want from a torch - no disco or SOS effects. So apart from wanting to apologise to the manufacturers and potential users of this product, I am faintly disturbed to consider the explanations for this development: one, that the manufacturer has implanted a tracking device in the product and connects it to negative reviews of the mode cycle feature and has remotely programmed my torch to stick to the one mode I want (seems very unlikely); two, that I was never using it properly in the first place and that maybe you have to twist it to go through the modes or something, or perhaps I was doing a "long click" on the button which cycles through the modes whereas now I'm doing a "short click" which uses the last mode I used (or just the "normal torch" full beam mode). This second explanation seems vaguely more likely, though I can't test it because I don't want to try a long click lest the torch changes to another mode and I can never get the permanent full beam mode back again. Or three, I have a helpful ghost in my flat which secretly cycles through the other modes after each time I've used the torch so that whenever I switch it on, it's always on full beam; given the other odd things that occur in my flat when my back is turned I wouldn't be surprised at this, though the fact that I sometimes don't leave more than a couple of seconds between switching it off and then on again, giving the ghost no time to do the cycling, would be firmer evidence that this isn't the correct explanation. I'm not sure which of the three I'd prefer, to be honest. Regardless, I can now vouch for the product's excellence at (somehow) remaining on my preferred full beam mode and have consequently upgraded my four-star review to five stars.ORIGINAL REVIEW: Nice to hold and certainly the beam is extremely strong for such a little torch. The only annoying thing is the different beam modes - I didn't want a disco, and don't plan to get stuck in the woods and need an automatic SOS function. I really only wanted a torch that does what torches used to do when I was a kid, i.e. lights stuff up with a single beam, not do five other things. I had imagined there would be a switch for the different modes so if you wanted a basic torch, you could keep it set on single beam and you'd still have the other modes if you ever wanted them. Instead the on/off button cycles through all the modes, so if you've used it previously on single beam, next time you turn it on it's now on the next mode, and you have to cycle through the modes again until you get back to single beam. As one of the modes is a strobe effect this could be unacceptable to an epilepsy sufferer. I would gladly have paid the same price or probably more for a bright torch that just switches on and off.
