I will say, after using it in a wash tub, it sort of cleaned it. I figured I would have better luck going through the wash 3 times using a commercial washer, and it was a little bit better, but it didn't make the white on my jacket pop out. It DID help with the water shedding, but it would have been amazing if it super cleaned my jacket. The jacket is a Rev It Sand 4 H20, and it didn't harm it, only helped it. It is a mesh jacket, so it's safe to use. If this was a bit cheaper or come in bigger bottles, I'd be happy, but I wash my gear once a month, and ride about 900 miles a month, so I need the wash more than others.

have used this in the past for snowboard jacket, though I would try it on my casual rain coat that is water resistant. Seems to do the trick, will keep you posted as I am using it on an upcoming trip that may have a bit of rain.

I was skeptical at first; however, Nikwax actually works. The rain runs off my outdoor hiking/hunting gear similar to a freshly waxed car. I used it on hiking/hunting rain clothes that are at least 15 years old.

I bought a Cabela's softshell hunting jacket that is comfy and warm, not realizing it wasn't water resistant. This past January while out hunting I harvested a doe during the first snowstorm. It quickly turned from snow to freezing rain and then cold rain, a hunters nightmare. By the time I was done dragging the deer I was soaked and my jacket weighed a ton. I ran my jacket and a heavier pair of camo pants though the wash using the tech wash and then the softshell proof. After drying I ran it under the sink and the water just rolls off. A hard spray and the jacket will absorb some water. If it lasts a season or two amd keeps me fairly dry that's good enough for me. So far I'm satisfied.

Did it clean? Did it waterproof? I dunno I still got wet.

Used this on my rain gear and I love it. Had my rain gear on and I started to get slightly wet. Washed my rain gear and treated it with this product and now it repels water and keeps me fully dry. Honestly amazed on how well it works
