After watching all review i ordered it and today i received it along with work of michelangelo . Its not a book , its a small museum. First of all this book is huge itself and heavy with good quality of papers and print. Amazing collection of all arts and explanation. Who really appreciate old master art, sculptor have it in any cost.

Taschen has again done their magic in this one . Although this book doesn't discuss much more about Caravaggio's life but it does best job about reproduction of his paintings . There are extremely beautiful paintings and in some paintings taschen has provided us details of parts of paintings . Extremely satisfied . Price range is fantastic l totally worth 3k .

Very informative survey of Caravaggio’s work, his influences, techniques, and the meanings encoded in his paintings. Probably not a book for those new to Caravaggio, given its wealth of detail and its high academic style. Fine reproductions despite the smaller format of this book. Caravaggio’s eventful life is covered, although the author is critical of the many unverified and sensational stories about him. He dismisses the widespread assumption of the painter’s bisexuality, despite contemporary rumors, his long residence with the ephebophile Cardinal del Monte, and the many sensual youths depicted in his work. The translation is generally clear, with occasional non-English locutions.

Es muy lindo, solo que no revise el tamaño. Es mas pequeño de lo necesario para poder apreciar las obras.

Obra com capa belíssima, veio em caixa protetora, sem qualquer dano ou amasso. Obra primorosa sobre Caravaggio, feita por um dos maiores especialistas do mundo das obras do artista, recomendo aos amantes da arte! O tamanho da obra é enorme e me impressionou a vivacidade e os diversos tons da impressão colorida das pinturas do artista, tanto grandes, como pequenas. Não deixe de tê-la um dia, em um inglês acessível!!
