Good wood
Good quality wood for the price.

Very poor quality (not basswood) with knots.
This wood is not basswood. It is pine and very hard pine with knots etc just to top it off. (See image) Absolute rubbish for wood carving.

I think it's pine, not basswood. I'm not an expert on wood so I might be wrong. I don't think I'm wrong, it doesn't look like bass wood, it doesn't carve like bass wood and I'm not blind. It's not basswood. Sounds like a bait and switch. If you want basswood save your money and order from someone else!

Not basswood
I’ve now whittle basswood and whatever hardwood this is, it is so much harder and thicker than what basswood is. You can carve/whittle it but it takes 5x as long because it’s not real basswood.
