so good. This chair is really nice
So far, so good. This chair is really nice, and super-comfortable. The mesh is wonderful since I tend to get hot easily - especially when I am working long hours in the studio. I shopped around pretty hard for the best mesh ergonomic chair in this price range, and I came to the conclusion that this is probably it, and it has met my expectations. I love the foldaway arms also. It was another must for me. The chair does not seem to be cheaply made, and the design also looks great in person. I just hope the mesh doesn't start tearing up any time soon. Knock on wood...

Great chair except for the ridiculously loud SQUEAKING
The chair is almost exactly what I wanted: Comfortable, supportive, and mesh so it doesn't get too hot or cold. The squeaking from the spring is ridiculously loud and unbearable though. The main spring for the recline back is housed in plastic and seems to be impossible to stop from making noise. WD40 and silicone lubricants don't help at all. If I'm working late at night it wakes up everyone in the house every time I get up or sit down. I'd return the chair if it wasn't such a pain to box it back up. Likely just toss it once I find a suitable replacement.** Update after owning the chair a year: After soaking the underside of the chair with silicone lubricant spray I have finally solved most of the squeaking issues. Now the casters have started breaking. The holes in the base that the casters lock in to are all cracked. The casters either fall out or they lean at such an angle the chair won't roll. Apparently the warranty is useless as the officestar(.)net website is down and emails to their sales dept get bounced back due to bad address. If I could remove the one star I gave it I would.

Great style, good construction
For the price, I feel like this was a great office chair. The construction seems good (haven't used it for years so I can't really say). One thing I really like is the arm rests. I had a chair before where rubber arm rests were held in place by flat metal pieces. This eventually dug into the rubber as I rested and pushed my arms on it. Over the years it pierced and wore through the rubber arm rests. It's one thing I'll always be sensitive to in the future. This chair's arm rests has rubber (tougher in this case) that sit atop plastic that covers the full length of the arm rest, not just part. So there's nothing to push and rub against to break the rubber arm rests. The also move out of the way which is a good bonus. The mesh seat and back have proven to be sturdy so far. The casters aren't the best...At all...But they work. I imagine you could upgrade those by looking around though as the size seems to be fairly standard. They just push in. I'm sure there's better out there, but they do indeed work just fine. Just not as well as some other chair's I've had. Minor detail.

Great for big and tall person. Very airrated. Love the mesh seat.
love this mesh seat. It is hard to find a mesh seat chair- they sell so many mesh back chairs. I get overheated by most seats but this keeps me cool and dry. This is an excellent chair and I am 5'8" tall and weigh 300 lbs. at the moment. It will hold a big and tall person but I can see it accommodating a smaller sized person as well. This is an adjustable chair and very easy to assemble. I replaced the wheels immediately with the skater wheels you can get for $20-30 a box on Amazon, so I do recommend those for wheels rather than the usual cheap plastic wheels that come with most chairs.

Great until it wasn't
I've had this chair for 14 months and today 2 of the 5 legs snapped and broke. It's comfortable and easy to adjust. I'm not sure if the legs breaking was a defect in this specific chair.

Great looking and supportive chair
Great looking and supportive chair. Some quality control issues on mine however, there was a bent part underneath causing and annoying squeak as it leans back (I was able to pin down the squeak and fix with a few rounds of bike lube) Also the left arm is about a quarter to a half inch higher than the right arm causing it to feel uneven when you're resting both arms. I mostly sit with the arms folded back so isn't a returnable issue for me.

Surprisingly Nice Quality
Bought this for my home office after we had purchased other Office Star products for a conference room. Excellent quality - easy to assemble. I tend to beat up office chairs and more inexpensive ones only last me a year or 2 at best. This one has the quality of a much more expensive chair so hopefully this will last for much longer

Back and Neck Pain
After having the chair for just over one year, I can no longer recommend it. It's caused me a good deal of back pain and I have replaced the chair with a $20~ kitchen chair at this point. The mesh forces you to have bad posture in your neck and back. The bar that prevents the chair from leaning back still allows you to lean back just slightly into a poor position as well.If I were able to return this chair after my year of ownership, I would do it in a heartbeat. It's remained in good condition, nothing has broken, but it's immensely uncomfortable and the back pain was bad enough that I had to visit the doctor the last time I spent a few hours sitting in it. It's been a huge waste of money for me.
