GM Genuine Parts 12563918 Dipstick Tube

The oil dipstick tube fit well, but was shipped loose in packaging. Because of this, it was bent a little bit when I received it. After taking the old dipstick out, I matched it up by bending it back to the correct position and installed it fits perfect no more broken dipstick tube where it was mounted to the bracket.

This part fit perfectly! I previously purchased a aftermarket tube and it was not formed correctly. This part took about 10 minutes to install and is of good quality!

It worked great. Requires a little manipulation, as expected. I had a little trouble getting it in at first,so I got a bore brush for my 9mm and cleaned out the hole better. I added a little assembly lube to the end and it tapped right in. It comes with the o-ring on it. It has a nice black finish, probably powder coated. The mounting flange was oriented correctly. It is an excellent GM product.

package came on time and in a larger-than-life box. Yes, the shipping box is larger than one would think, but it ensures the tube does not get bent! The item is in a sealed package inside the box. Be sure to not remove your dipstick-tube until ready to replace with new one. Remove the metric bolt holding the mounting arm and place to the side, have the new ready to go and it is just like Plug & Play. If in question take a picture of the existing installation due to wiring placement, etc.; so that upon placing the new one in nothing gets in the way. Use a headlight of some means to illuminate the oil port hole in the engine block. Slide the new in place and you will fill it slip into the hole with a firm push so the O-ring on the tube pops into the block. We took a little oil off the dip stick and lightly oiled the O-ring on the new dip stick tube so it would slip right in. Install the mounting bolt, do not over tighten, and slip the dipstick back in the tube and done. Yes, it can be awkward but just focus and on how the old came out and place the new in place just like the old one; Plug & Play.

Exact fit for a 2002 5.3l yukon. Does not come with the oil dipstick, so save your old one and replace the o ring. Being patient when removing this part is key, if you snap it at the base you will be removing your oil pan. It is rather difficult to get out if you have rust, I recommend lots of penetrating oil, giving it a good amount of time to soak carefully wiggling and pulling. good luck.

It for just like OEM. It came with O-ring already in place. Slide right it after I lubed the o ring and the mounting hole lined right up.
