After reading other reviews I chose the Dark Brown and it is perfect! I really like this product for when I pull my hair back and all that gray, white and silver shows and doesn't match the lower part of my hair, so I just dab this on and my hair is more blended with the major color (dark brown). The product covers easily, is easily applied and it does not come off on my clothes or pillowcase. The jar was tricky to open the first time. The lid on the top is a FLIP TOP, and the bottom twists off and the applicator is stored there - genius! I will be a repeat customer on this product.

I normally use "medium brown" hair dye, so that's the color I ordered. I found coverage to be a shade lighter and would buy one shade darker if I buy again. This color makes my gray look like dark blond/light brown. You also need to be careful applying darker color if you have light skin because it tints your scalp. I also wish the sponge applicator was an oval shape, because the round shape makes it more challenging to apply only to hair. That said, I am very impressed. I've even applied it to "day 1 hair" and it's still on my hair the next day - no need to reapply. It doesn't rub off on my pillow because I mainly only put it on top of my head/part line, and I'm a side sleeper.

At first I was a bit skeptical about this product. First of all let me tell you, we are under the impression that a woman's hair is her crowning glory, so when it starts falling out and thinning, we feel vulnerable and uncertain, or at least I do. I purchased this product and absolutely love it! I dont wash my hair daily, and this stuff stays in until you wash it with shampoo! It will withstand water, sweat, giving you the confidence you deserve and want! My natural hair color is a mousy brown so I got the dark brown and its perfect! My hair looks full and looks great!

I like the idea of it and initially it did the job but after using it several times I feel like it doesn't come out as good as that initial first time. The color was the right color I needed and putting it on the first time definitely made me go "Oh Wow" cause it worked! It did give my roots that fresh from the salon look. But using it that 2nd and third time I just feel like I couldn't get that same color out of the container, I'd pat it or streak it on and it doesn't look like anything was applied or you can barely see a difference. I'm not sure if maybe it's the applicator and it needs to be cleaned or what exactly.

This company is amazing! I bought one for my husband bc he has thinning hair. He was using hair fibers but it's messy. This was way better! I liked it so much that I bought some for me to hide/ blend my grey hair between bleach sessions. I got the medium blonde. And blonde hair is soo hard to match and it was too yellow. I emailed the company and they refunded me right away. I ended up with a medium as that is amazing! I was trying to keep my roots light to blend with my grey but go a little darker rather than lighter. It works better. The medium ash color is perfect!

Pleasantly surprised by this. I have been dealing with hair loss caused by stress. While minoxidil has been helping to grow it back, my widening part has been a point of insecurity. I went with the ash brown and feel the color blends well with my natural color. I’m new to using a product like this and I’m sure there will be a learning curve, but it seems to have decent longevity and is a quick/easy enough application. I sweat a lot in warmer weather though, so we will see if I end up with brown streaks wearing this out… Will update if anything super embarrassing happens, but for now I am feeling more confident and less like I have a blinding white beacon on top of my head. And that’s a win in my book!

Thirteen years ago I bought the very costly original root-covering powder product like this and its companion brush applicator. Guess what! I am STILL using it! Great value for the money. But I'm almost out of it, so I thought I'd try this because the reviews are so good. And it is a good product. Blends nicely, doesn't rub off, matches my color. But the poorly-designed foam applicator is awkward to handle. Doesn't maneuver as nicely as a brush and doesn't allow for detailed areas like my widow's peak and around my temples and ears. I have been using my old brush applicator instead. I am also concerned that there isn't really very much product in the container. My guess? Deep container, shallow pan of product. We'll see...
