The light is bright but calming, it's light weight, easy for little kids to operate, and the handle makes it a nice carry around light. The ceiling lights up with stars and moons in different colors is a nice added touch. All around this is well worth it. It is durable too.

As a mom of an almost 3 year old toddler—this lamp is one of my favorite items I’ve ever purchased for him! It was especially helpful since he was still transitioning to going to bed by himself. We turn on light/lamp setting to read him a book before bed, and he falls asleep with the star projector setting. The lamp part is a warm light and fairly bright, but because the lamp is so small the light doesn’t reach far. Fine for us though. We don’t use the dimming setting much, but could be good as a night light that way. And a couple of the colors on the star projector setting are a little too bright for me (but most of the colors are nice and dim).The lamp is small and compact, but it’s the perfect size for a toddler. The single button is simple and easy for him to use—one push is the lamp light, two pushes is the stars, one more turns it off. It has a tiny handle for him to carry it around (which he did constantly at first, he loves the lamp!) The lamp is pretty sturdy because he’s dropped it multiple times and it hasn’t been damaged yet. It keeps a charge for a long while—it’s been left on the entire night for a couple nights in a row before needing a charge. It does take a while to charge fully, FYI.Recommend! It was a good price for a great value. We’ve only used it 2-3 months now though, so I can’t comment on its longevity. But it’s sturdy, light setting is pretty bright, the stars look super cool on the ceiling in a dark room, and it’s toddler approved!

I got one for one child, and it worked so well the other wanted one so I bought another. I looked around for a while for a night light that would both provide some nice projection elements and have a good capacity rechargeable battery (both for portability but also due to outlet locations). This was one of the few I found and so far has been a great buy. It's a nice small size but not tiny, is very light, seems fairly durable and well-made, is simple to use, and has easily lasted through the night on a single charge. The normal lamp feature has a nice dimming feature which can get pretty bright, enough to almost be its own standalone lamp, and probably enough to use for reading if positioned just right. But also gets dim enough for sleeping, and on that lowest setting ours has lasted well past 12 hours without showing signs of dying. I haven't tested out the full battery life amount but this definitely does what I wanted it to. The projector part is nice as well, automatically switching between a few different LED colored lights. Those lights are in a circle on the top, so the built in stars/rocket/etc. cutouts that project the images shift around on the ceiling as the lights turn on in different positions, but it's not a large movement and otherwise the projector doesn't rotate/move/change its projection at all. You either have to use it in lamp mode or projector mode. Hopefully these don't die quickly, because otherwise I'm very happy with these and would recommend.

Broke after less than 3 months of use. Won’t charge and won’t work even when plugged in now (blinks and turns right back off). When you click on product support it has an option to watch a 1:21 minute video about night lights in general which have different features than this one. Junk.

My toddler has recently decided she is scared of the dark. We needed a durable light that would be bright enough to light every corner of her room without feeling like her overhead light was on. This one was the one. She loves it. She loves that it dims, she loves the projection that changes colors, and she loves showing it off to everyone! There’s only one slight little problem I have found: the battery doesn’t last as long as I would like it to. I have to charge it almost every day, and for me that is a killer. Overall, however, it’s the perfect night light for a scared-of-the-dark toddler.

I bought this lamp for my 3-year old daughter and she absolutely loves it. The functionality is simple. You press the button once for it to turn on and can use the dimmer dial to set it to your desired brightness. You press the button again to transition to the star projector mode where the light cycles through different colors (red, green, blue, regular light) and projects starts onto the ceiling. You press the button a third time to turn off the light. You can also long-press the button to activate the 30 minute auto shut-off feature which we use every night as our daughter likes to fall asleep with the stars projecting. Also, the lamp is lightweight and made of plastic so I don’t think it would break if my daughter accidentally knocked it off her nightstand.I almost didn’t purchase this light because a number of people complained in these reviews that the light stopped being able to charge and/or won’t hold a charge. I can’t say for sure as I’ve only had the light for one month but they may have not fully charged it prior to the first use and/or over-charged the light at some point as the instructions say that it must be fully charged before first use and you’ll damage the rechargeable battery if it’s “charged for a long time.” The light takes about 4 hours to fully charge and you can tell it’s done charging because the red indicator light turns off when it’s fully charged. In our case, we charged it once and it hasn’t needed recharging after using it every night for one month. I’ll try to remember to update this review if we have issues with subsequent charges but thus far have been very impressed with this little light. Also, if we do encounter issues with the rechargeable battery, the instructions say the light can be operated the wired connection (in addition to the battery) so hoping it can still be used if/when the battery fails.Overall, I’d highly recommend this lamp if you’re looking for a toddler night light. Great product and great value.
