Clearest water I've ever had! Love these filters!

I bought this roll of filter media to use in a canister filter. It's very flexible and easy to cut which is a welcome trait when your media trays have multiple things to account for when shaping a custom filter. The material itself is definitely on the flimsy side so you may get multiple uses through cleaning and reusing but don't count on many times. Pricing is quite affordable so it's not painful to throw questionable old ones away or cut off a piece for something else. I bought an electric vacuum for my aquarium and replaced the original with small pieces of this stuff which improved it usefulness. Overall, I prefer a sponge-like foam filter for durability but these work pretty good.

Cost a little more then other brands. But worth it. I bought 3 times. As thick as described. Holds up to about 10+ times power washer cleanings before tearing / need replacing. Removes small particles of dirt and mud. I use in pond filter between the heavy duty plastic filter pads to remove fine dirt. Best I found to get water crystal clear after koi dug into Lilly pots and made pond muddy. Would recommend for pond or aquariums.

Received today and thought it looked a bit thin. Haven't used it yet, but definitely isn't 1.25" thick. It's about an inch thick (being generous and rounding up). Was expecting this product to be thicker so I may need to purchase another roll of the coarser filter media. Will test it and update review.UPDATE: Have been using for about a month now. Material has flattened out even more. It catches the small stuff so I guess it's okay, but I don't plan to purchase it again. It has been pretty easy to rinse out and is definitely reusable. My main disappointment is that it didn't hold its thickness, and that it was way thinner than the seller advertised.

Does good in filter

This filter pad works amazing. I was looking for 2 foot filter pads to replace and/or use with my current ones. I bought 2 four foot rolls and cut them in half. This was just what my pond needed to catch the smaller bits of alge that was getting through more porous black filter pads. I put one of these between the black pads and my pond water was clear of smaller floating alge 1 day, When the weather got hotter and alge began to grow more I placed one of these Koral filters on bottom and one in between black filters. It kept the pond clear! These filters are easy to hose off and clean up to look brand new! One 4 foot roll lasted all summer. I will never go without this filter pad. My pond up keep was so much easier this year!
