What a fantastic tool, clever &simple vintage design
I just learned about this type of tool when helping my elderly aunt moved to a new place. She handed a vintage one to me to hang a picture and I didn’t even know what to do with it. Her instructions sounded so odd. Poor lady, I think I looked at her like she was demented. And then I zipped an easy hole into the wall and I couldn’t believe it. Immediately bought one when I came home.

Nice Remake of the old Stanley
If you owned or used the old Stanley push drill and miss having it around, this is a nice replacement tool. While it doesn’t feel quite as sturdy as the original, this is a good drill, especially if you treat it with a bit of care. There is a complete set of bits included, and the bits work well. If you’ve checked out eBay, then you have seen the sad, incomplete state of most of the offerings for the original Stanley. This is a good choice, and I’m happy to have it around so I needn’t pull out my bigger power drill for smaller jobs. Recommended.

Great heirloom type tool!
My grandfather, who has since passed away, gifted me the Yankee Drill that he used for 30+ years while working for the Indiana Bell, back when that was still a thing. Then he used it when he started his own telephone installation business, back when that was still a thing. It is one of my most prized possessions and I have used it sparingly over the years. I bought this one specifically so that I could use a Yankee Drill without worrying about losing it. I still use his because it is what he wanted me to do with it and it is what it was made for. This one goes in my tool bag to travel around with me. Great tool, sturdily built, and will last for many years!

VERY Excellent Quality Made Tool that is Very Easy to Use!
VERY Excellent quality made tool. A bit expensive, but then if this is what you want and need, then go for it ... there is nothing else - of quality - that can compete with it anywhere in the marketplace! I used to use one of these push drills that was exactly like this one for most of my life, and am very happy to see it reappear again ... it is much easier to use than dragging out your electric drill, charging it, and then chucking the bit, and finally being able to use it (not counting putting it away!)! All you have to do with this push drill is to find the bit in the top, pull it out, slip it into the bottom of the drill and presto, ready to use! Easy and handy for about anything. The only thing that you need to have is a steady hand when you push it in and pull it out, since if you don't have that, and if you are accustomed to waving your hands around and not paying much attention, then you could easily break one of the smaller bits. Just be careful and it is good for a lifetime of easy use.

Fell apart in short order
The second time I grabbed this tool to use it on a home electrical job, the ball bearing that holds your bit in place fell out. No way to contact the manufacturer building this piece of crap. It’s an expensive tool, and you would expect quality that would last a lifetime Like the originals. This is just a cheap offshore piece of junk.

Great tool for traveling tool kit
I have a backpack tool kit that I use for off site maintenance work, the tool backpack is convenient and well stocked for a variety of maintenance jobs / repairs. I needed a drill for starting screws and an occasional mounting hole. Carrying another tool bag with a drill or driver always complicates things.I used this type of push drill when I was a child messing around with dads tools, never paid much attention to the tool or the usefulness until I watched some videos and was hit with an Epiphany ... that’s the answer to my drill issue!I do a fair amount of work in my wood shop that requires a fast pilot hole on semi delicate furniture items that I am restoring. Again I never thought of a push drill. I bought one push drill for my shop and one for my tool backpack.I was able to buy a few original Stanley versions and this one from King County Tools, the original and the King County Tools version look and work exactly the same. No issues with the new and slightly over priced version except that the bits are no where near as straight or sharp as the original Stanley versions.I expect that I will get a life time of use out of the new push drill and bought a pack of the way overpriced new bits to ensure that I have the bits on hand incase I break one and based on the reviews that say the bits are not as durable as the original Stanley bits.As for drilling holes, yes the King County’s version drills holes and preformed exactly like the Stanley versions while looking showroom new. The packaging on the King County Tools version is minimal at best, no instructions and actually cheap when you Consider the high cost.

Never throw away the users manual
I have a real old Drill exactly like it, and I used it frequently. I only had one drill bit, and I forgot how to open the handle. Now I keep the old one in my garage and the new one in my workshop
