17-year old cat loves this!!
Our sweet boy was losing weight and acting totally disinterested in eating about a week ago. Also, he was drinking lots of water and we were scooping larger pee clumps from his litter boxes - both typical signs of kidney disease (and his last bloodwork panel showed an upward trend with his kidneys). I researched renal diet cat food and was discouraged by the terrible ingredients in most brands. I read about this food from an independent website, and decided to try a one-pound bag. When we received the bag of cat food five days ago, my cat immediately started eating this like it was a treat. I only gave him about a tablespoon at first to see how he did. No issues, and still no issues. With the combination of this and adding Epakitin to his wet food twice a day, he seems to be feeling much better! I am hopeful we can keep our boy happy and satiated with this food. We are on day 5 of this food and he is STILL heartily eating it. We feed him this dry food in between wet food meals. I couldn't believe how perky and happy he was this morning when he got up. I just fed him an afternoon snack of the dry food, which he woofed down like it was a treat, and he's going back down for a nap. Thank you so much for an excellent food for my senior fur baby!

A big surprise!
My 15 year old cat was recently diagnosed with renal failure. She ate the prescription food from the vet for one day and then refused to eat it anymore. She is extremely picky; I have always had a hard time getting her to eat. Surprisingly she eats this food. She sometimes will eat around the darker colored heart pieces but overall she eats the food well. It does have a very strong odor to it. IF you have a picky cat this might be the food for you. I purchased only a one pound bag in the event that she wouldn't eat it. It is expensive, but not more than what you will have to pay for the prescription cat food. I love the fact that you can purchase the food in smaller quantities because the food costs for cats with kidney problems are very expensive. NO one wants to purchase a large expensive bag of cat food that their cat refuses to eat. I just purchased my second bag. Hope this help someone out.

I purchased this for my 19 year old cat. She seems to like it and doing well with it. I do wish the price was cheaper but Better priced than many others.

It didn't work for me
I had to return this food, my cat ate it at first, but then wouldn't eat it. To be fair, he was having a hard time keeping any food down at the time due to kidney problems. I'm sure it is a very good food and would work for some cats .

6 cats will not eat!
I have 6 cats and 1 of them is allergic to chicken so I feed dry food that is chicken free, so that means they all have to eat it. Usually there will be 1 or 2 that will eat some of it but not this time. None of them are eating it. I purchased the 1 pound bag for just this reason. I thought it was ridiculous to charge $15 to basically try this food but when a company is allowed to take advantage they will!

Amazing for Ailing Kitties with Kidney issues!
In late April we noticed one of our rescue kitties had been not quite herself. She’d had teeth pulled before we adopted her due to a mouth infection. We’d had her not quite a year, but we started seeing a dramatic decline, particularly for such a young cat. Hiding, losing weight, sitting with her head over the water bowl...After a not terribly encouraging vet visit, we were told to prepare for the worst. The kind of infection she’d had can resurface later as kidney issues. Antibiotic and steroid injection and subcutaneous fluids were given in an attempt to stabilize her. Science Diet A/D prescription food helped get her eating a bit again. We used Under the Weather Pets gel to help get more weight on her. It definitely gave her a perk. We began to have tentative hope.About a month ago, I stumbled on the listing for this food and decided to give it a shot. I bought a 1 lb. bag initially to see if she would eat it.Wow! The improvements in her demeanor and well-being have been nothing short of miraculous. I simply must credit this food.First, she loves the taste. We have 3 other rescues, so this stuff is our little secret! She signals that she wants it. From first dish, she dove in.She’s a very small cat! Just a 1/4 c. per day, which is easy to get her to eat that, plus a little more if she wants it.Since we’ve added this to her routine, she’s improving daily. Her energy levels are up. She now runs around when she had been sitting lethargically or sleeping most of the day. With the weight she had lost, her spine and skull were easily felt when you pet her. The short amount of time she’s been eating this has improved that significantly.I’ve since ordered a 4 lb bag. She loves it,And we do too.
