I was hesitant on this purchase as I saw it didn't work for some people. But I needed a battery and this was a fraction of the cost of an original. I waited awhile to post my review b/c I wanted to try it over time. My kids are in sports therefore we are always on the go. I can no longer tell which battery I am switching from/to! They both ( original Canon, and this one) charge well and they both work for the same amount of time!! I don't use them until they are dead b/c I can't take that chance, but have no problems getting through 3 hours of softball without having to change a battery, then I charge that one while using the back up. I have used them 3-4 times a week since I received them with no problems to date!

I have a Canon and this battery works better than the one that came with the camera. Long lasting built well and won't just come apart like some batteries do . Great Buy

I'd bought a new Canon SX40HS camera so figured I'd get a back-up battery and this vendor sent a cell in manufacturer's sealed card pack. The original Canon battery is rated 920mAh 6.8Wh, while the new "Xit Photo" cell is marked: 1550mAh 11.5Wh.. I expect this is a good thing. The battery charged fast and seems just fine.This vendor, Big Mikes, threw in a nice cleaning cloth and a set of screen guards. I'd bought screen protectors for my Canon S2 and an SX130IS but they were precisely cut real glass panels. This pack, from Zeikos,includes 3 sheets of graphed backing 3X5 inch material but I don't think it is real glass, so I may not use it. Sure is plenty of material tho if you want to do more devices. You have to trim it to size yourself and a Zeikos squeegee card is included for smoothing. This is marketed as "universal screen guard", so is not specific for any particular LCD.For 8.99, quick ship, full warranty, and proper performance so far, Sure, I'd recommend Big Mikes battery deal sweetened with extras. I am a border, and I found that invariably I would be out birding and my camera battery would die the minute I found the perfect shot of a warbler😂 I was a bit leery about not using the Canon brand battery for my canon Powershot SX60. This works just as well as the original battery, and now I always have a spare when I’m out birding.It was a great buy!

I purchased this camera battery, for my Cannon Power Shot SX50 HS, because it had been given good reviews. My advise, don't always trust reviews! This camera battery does NOT hold a charge. If you want a reliable battery I would strongly advise against purchasing this battery.

I bought this a little over a year ago as a spare battery for my Canon Powershot SX60, but then I bought another camera instead so I didn't really test out this battery then. But recently I've been using my SX60 again, and this battery runs out of charge within 2 - 3 hours of use compared to the original Canon battery which holds the charge for much longer (a couple days of moderate use). I see this battery as being useful in the way a spare tire is useful -- okay in an emergency situation, but not meant to be used under regular circumstances.

I bought this as a spare - for my sister, bought her a Canon SX50. I have no complaints regarding the battery, it arrived in perfect shape in good time. Other than that, I have no comments.
