No eye irritation!!! 😄😃😀
Purchased after hearing an interview with a founder of Altruist. I’ve never found a suncream that is easy to rub in, doesn’t leave a white mess and isn’t sensitive around the eyes. Altruist claimed to be all of these things.I’m so pleased I found this suncream. You can put it on like a moisturiser all over your face including eyes and eye lids. Does not smell, does not irritate, and is easy to absorb. I can replace my moisturiser with this which means I’ll always be protected from the suns damage. My only negative comment is that it is a little sticky but this seems to lessen after about 30mins and is not certainly a reason not to purchase it. *Edit* After some use I can say it isn’t sticky or greasy! I can tell because my hair doesn’t stick to my face like it usually does when I have suncream on!Top marks from me. It’s a little expensive compared to say Aldi or Lidl’s own but I’m happy to pay the extra for face protection that is kind to the eyes. An all year round must.

Its finally very very good. I wont buy anything else again.
I have bought this product 3 times over the last 5 years or so for beach holidays. And over the years it has been improved in every level. The packaging is much better than it used to be and the actual sunscreen now has the perfect consistency. Its not very thick which makes it easy to spread. It doesn't have a strong fragrance (if at all) and doesn't leave a shine or makes you look greasy. But more importantly it is very fairly priced which admirable especially for a relatively small company. Also they give a portion of profits to charity from every sale (which might be a drop in a bucket) but hey at least they are helping while giant companies don't usually do that. Last but not least it ticks all the boxes that one would want from a sunscreen: Great packaging, great product, great price and it is SPF 50 and water resistant and has a 5 star UVA rating which I have not seen on Amazon. I have found 4 star ratings but not 5. My advice to you is that if you do like it that you use a generous amount as one should when it comes to sunscreen. Sunscreens are not cosmetic creams. You need to apply generously. And the price of this product allows you to do that more easily.

Not bad
I was nervous using this. Going through a massive flare up from using a different spf and the sun flared me up so much. I was very sceptical using this. I've patch tested only a little on 1 side. Realistically I don't believe patch testing behind ears and elbows gives accurate reaction if your face skin is problematic. Mine has eczema so no point testing on a non eczema part. I put it on half my face and thought if I react I'll know it's this. Initial thoughts: goes on very smooth. I actually didn't realise I was tinted but it suits my skin tone so I'm grateful. Didn't sting at all, again very impressed. The only thing is I found it slightly streaky putting it on and also can be drying. I've put some pics of me using it immediately, 1 side is red which is my skin today getting better from a massive flare up yday and the other side with the spf(on a collage). The last pic is few hours later, it can be drying. I use vaseline and olive oil as my moisturiser so you can imagine how dry my skin is. So far, 1st few hours, not bad. Hope this is my forever spf 🤞

Recommend
Doesn’t leave a white cast, has no odour too. Works how it’s supposed to and doesn’t break me out in acne. I have sensitive skin and almost everyone other sunscreen I’ve tried leaves my skin dry or covered in spots. Recommend this product. One tube lasts me ages.

The best sunscreen I’ve ever had. Light, no fragrance, great UVF protection

Avoid if pale, it’s extremely dark orange.
I have sensitive, pale, mature dry skin and I heard great things about this brands spf and thought I’d give it a go. When I came to the Amazon page, I discovered there was an anti redness & pigmentation option in the green packaging and thought it would be perfect for me.I did read the reviews and noted some complained of it being very orange with photos, however some reviews with photos showed it as a normal white colour. I decided to try it, thinking perhaps it was a reaction with certain skincare products making it go orange. When it arrived, it was in perfect condition, no damage to the box or product and tested it immediately on the back of my hand. Please see photos. As you can see against my white Scottish skin, it’s incredibly dark orange. Although I had no other products on my hands, so my belief that it was a reaction to other products wasn’t correct.I still tried it on my face, however I mixed it 50/50 with my old spf, hoping it would reduce the effect. However, my face looked ridiculous being bright orange.A makeup tip for if you suffer with redness in your skin is to apply a bronzer on the red areas before applying foundation or a skin tint. This helps neutralise the redness.I hoped this orange spf would perhaps do the same, but alas it didn’t help, it’s simply too strong of an orange.I have contacted Amazon as the item isn’t eligible for return and they did refund me with no issues or fuss. Thank you.I found the SPF sat nicely on the skin, hydrating and moisturising with a dewy finish. Nor did it accentuate any dry areas. It didn’t upset my skin, no stinging or discomfort. There was a very slight, but minor discomfort for an hour of my eyes, nothing as bad as other SPFs I’ve tried. It claims to help redness and as you can see on my hands, I do suffer from psoriasis and my skin gets very red and angry. This SPF only reduced the redness by approximately 5%.I’m still confused to why the reviews are varied, with some like me receiving a product that turns orange and some where it remains white. My only conclusion is that either it’s a faulty batch or the product has gone off somehow. If the colour hadn’t been orange, I believe I would very much like this SPF and I am going to order the normal face version.Unfortunately, I can only rate it one star; despite having some good parts to this SPF: hydrating, non irritating, great ingredients etc, it essentially unusable due to the colour. All I can advise is to purchase the normal SPF and avoid this anti redness option.

Great product
It’s not orange or tinted as a few have claimed but completely white. Thin enough to spread easily and no smell, perfume or odour. Not greasy like most other high street products. Huge quantity for excellent value.
