Good quality shaver
I've had this for two years, just replaced the shaver head from original. This was after I shaved about 3 times a week with it. Both the unit and the replacement heads are expensive and third party ones are usually poor quality from what I've heard. I like how close of a shave I get, before this I had a phillips Norelco before and would burn through heads with that and the shave wasn't as close. It's nice how long the heads seem to last. I run head under water to clean it out, the water resistance rating is really nice.

very good
I bought this to replace an older series 7, which was approximately 16 years old, used the 70S blades. The battery on that unit was failing. This newer series 7 shaves my face a little smoother, gentler, and slightly closer. An overall surprisingly pleasant improvement over the older model. It does not do as good a job on my neck, leaving scattered stubble requiring several passes of the razor. It also charges very fast.Definitely not as close as a safety razor but I don’t think any electric is.It is 5 stars among electric razors on my face, but 4 stars on my neck.

Good unit, lacking design
I had a series 3. It served me well. The battery was getting weak (lower run time) and then part came apart. Time for a new one. It was delivered within 8 hours. Yay!I appreciate that they include a case with this time, but I have the beard trimmer and a charging cable. I put the bead trimmer in there, resting next to the shaver head (microscreen), bad idea. the cable isn't going to fit. Braun is known for their design, and everything should fit in the case, where it belongs, ready for a last minute departure.I thought the company would have switched to USB charging, being a European company. Propriety plugs in 2024? Even Apple with their good design, switched to USB on the phones. Braun, should too.The S7 hardware is nice, perhaps a little bit nicer than my S3. The "Precision Trimmer" works great for shaving my head. It's as big as the trimmer on my S3. Solid unit. It shaves better than the S3, which probably has a dull blade. Perhaps I should to shell out for a replacement blade unit for $50 in 18 months or so. It's just so expensive.I appreciate that you can get a shave after 5 minutes of charging. But why can't it run while plugged in? Conspiracy to have us buy a new unit when the battery dies?I'm happy with the unit (Shaves well, cleans easy, long battery life so far). Just not 100% pleased with with the total experience.

Good value
I have used Braun shavers for 40 years. This one gives the closest shave of any I have owned. Good value for the price. Only drawbacks - 1) a little difficult to remove the cutter for cleaning. 2) I don’t like cartoon graphic instructions - just give me text that references a shaver diagram.

Misses hairs
I bought this because it was supposed to be state-of-the-art. I have found that I have to go over areas several times and at different angles to cut all the hairs. Some hairs it just won't cut. Afterwards, I can still feel a lot of hairs. Then I get out my old rotary shaver and it gets rid of all the hairs with ease. The old one doesn't feel as smooth while shaving, but does a much better job with less work. Also, I don't like that the trimmer requires getting out a different head and swapping. My old razor had a pop-up trimmer that wes much more convenient, and worked great until just recently. For the price, I expected much more from this razor.

Excellent electric shaver for the price.
Great shaved. I’ve been using a Norelco for electric and Schick for shaving but would get nicks or ingrown hairs above lip. This shaver is easy and smooth. I add pre-shave lotion and it’s magic. I looked at several reviews and was not spending $180-300 on a series 8 or 9, the 7 is excellent. Great product for a great price of under $100

Flashy but useless – old Series 3 was way better
I honestly don’t understand what Braun is charging so much money for. I used to have a Series 3 model that had both a shaver and a trimmer attachment in one — simple, effective, and it worked perfectly. I decided to upgrade to a newer Series 7 model, thinking I’d get something better. Big mistake. The floating head feels like a gimmick — it doesn’t actually help at all during shaving. The new design is uncomfortable and impractical. Everything you shave just falls all over the sink — there’s no system to catch the hairs, so it makes a mess every time. Not only is it inconvenient, but switching between two different heads (shaver and trimmer) is a hassle. Why did they complicate something that used to work so well?In my opinion, the older Series 3 is far better: more practical, more comfortable, and much cheaper. After a year of trying to convince myself to use the Series 7, I gave up and bought a Series 3 again — and I’ve never looked back. The newer one now just sits in a drawer collecting dust.
