Great adaptive spoon
Really great adaptive spoon! We got this for a family member with Parkinson’s/PSP and it works really well. The handle is easy to hold and the curve spoon has decreased the messes while eating. Easy to clean, too!

Works well post CVA
This spoon was ordered for my father who experienced a mild CVA four months ago. While he is able to feed himself, he was removing mechanical soft food from the side of regular spoons. I had not throughly researched this spoon. When it arrived, I thought the design odd and the bowl too large. Dad has a tendency to load his spoons with too large of a bite for his dysphagia. But he readily accepted this new and different spoon. He is using it well. I do, at times, need to remind him to take smaller bites.

Good for disabled people
My husband has lost the ability to grip things such eating utensils due to MS. He is self conscious about asking for help when eating. This spoon has a thick, study handle that's shaped and angled in such a way that makes it easier to feed himself. It's seems quite durable and is dishwasher safe. The bowl of the spoon is notched to help with minor cutting. It's important to note that it's only usable with a person's left hand. Right-handed people need to get one that bends the opposite way. I wish the handle was dimpled, thus making it more secure to hold and that it was a brighter color to make it easier to spot in a crowded drawer, but those are minor things.

My special little guy loves using the spoon!

Left-handed spoon
Size of the spoon was a little closer to tablespoon size; a bit to large for my petite, elderly mom to use. Well constructed though

Perfect utensil designed for Parkinson’s patients
This is the perfect utensil for my mother who has Parkinson’s. I previously ordered the spork. This is not a weighted utensil (my preference) and the design is perfect since tremors many times prevent her from turning a traditional utensil toward her mouth successfully. Made for left or right handed.

Pay attention to the size of the part that holds the food. Way too big.
Product was shipped out quickly.I am unable to use the spoon or spork. The head of those things are about the size of a serving table spoon. Elderly with Alzheimer’s generally barely open their mouth big enough for a teaspoon to fit. From pictures it’s hard to tell how big it is. Have no idea why it’s so big… I wouldn’t be able to eat from it either. Our problem is not the griping/holding it….. ours is the angle as it’s brought to the mouth for aiming purposes.
