The most important thing is that the camera actually works, and the WiFi signal is strong enough to make it inside the vehicle through the tailgate. My license plate mount is on my bumper, so it is not practical for me to get the antenna inside the vehicle.The plastic construction is very flimsy, and the camera was mounted slightly askew on it, resulting in a slightly tilted image. Not enough to bother me.Image quality and angle of view are OK. Enough to get the job done, but far from top of the line.The camera I received has no IR LEDs for night vision, but the light my backup lights emit is enough to maneuver in reverse in the dark.I have lost the WiFi signal a couple of times in the middle of driving, but I figured that might be a possibility since I can’t get the antenna inside the cabin.Be very careful how tight you screw it in place because you can easily bust the plastic mount if you tighten too much.

I had no problem connecting the camera to Wi-Fi, but the resulting video image was pretty much unusable in HD viewing mode. The live playback was very choppy with a very low frame rate (maybe 1 frame per second). Disabling the parking guide overlay helped a little bit, but not enough. Switching to low res playback helped some more, but still a very low frame rate (maybe about 5fps). And that was with the receiving device only inches from the camera (didn't test with the monitor device in the car interior). Maybe the camera needs a very high end host device, but I tested with a quad-core LG tablet and an LG G5 phone.

The fact that it lags communication, takes awhile to connect and always disconnects. I didnt use the night view cause i was already disatisfied with the product while testing.

The cable conneting sensor and wifi emitter is too short, so the wifi emitter can not enter the trunk and the signal very bad. I have no choice but extending the cable to make sure the emitter in the trunk, it works nicely. A tips, the antenna should be perpendicular to the earth and keep away from metal, otherwise the signal not good. You can use a wifi analyzer app to test the signal.

just power it up, connect wifi, and load the f-car app.... and it either works or doesn't. in my case it didn't work. there are no options or config settings, no troubleshooting tips, no help what so ever.Update: I managed to get it to connect to my iphone, by manually configuring the connection. I guessed on most of it but finally got it to connect easily and still allow me to use the internet on my phone.it seems to work pretty well but i haven't used it beyond hooking it up and watching the video.good luck.

Took me 4 hours to run the wire perfectly can’t see the wire at all THEN it doesn’t work at all. I tested the wire and have power.

Bought this unit to mount on our Ram truck. Holes don't line up great on the lic plate and the camera is a little bigger then I was expecting. Wires are very lite duty and makes it harder to crimp.

I can't get the code to upload? Says there's an error. Can't even began to use it??? What good is that???
