Biotope Aquatics LtdTillandsia Mix - 6 Plants - Indoor Live Air Plant for House Vivarium Terrarium - No Soil Required

Most of the plants were in decent condition, however the one in the photo arrived already slightly rotted and is now in this condition about a week later - rotted/dried out, clearly not going to survive. Disappointing as it was one of the varieties I wanted most.

I waited 2 weeks before leaving a review as I had high hopes the tillandsias would improve and here's my conclusion: the tillandsias arrived early in a slender box. They were not damaged, but they were not in the best condition either. One of them had black discoloration at the base of the root while the rest (apart from the 'bulbosa') had dried, brown foliage despite all of them having been heavily pruned from the base. I followed the instructions which came in the box and I was to soak the tillandsias for 4 hours upon arrival. Since then I've misted them once with a fertilizer especially made for air plants (fertilizer should only be used once a month) and misted them with water twice of the 2 weeks that they've been here. So I've done everything I was instructed to do by the sellers, however the one with black base at the root fell apart this morning. I was obviously saddened for the little plant and decided to inspect the remaining 5 air plants and made some research in the internet. Because they were all heavily pruned by the sellers, I suspect that the tillandsias have already bloomed, had their pups removed in order to pass them on as juvenile air plants. I made this conclusion after discovering a dried up flower in the center of the 'juncea' as demonstrated in the picture. Tillandsias that have already bloomed can live for an additional 1 to 2 years before dying. I will be contacting the sellers to see what they have to say.

I was a little concerned that these guys would be stressed or damaged by the journey, but they arrived in perfect shape. One of the plants' leaves was a little bent but fluffed up perfectly after a couple of mistings. The plants seem to love their new environment and are growing fast. Will def buy again, thanks!

This is the first time I've bought these. They are still looking wonderful.

They was okay but some of the plants was stuck to the packaging tape this caused parts of the plants to die. They seem to be well now. Would have been 5 stars if packaged a bit more carefully.

There were very beautiful smaller plants.Equally nice medium , and one unexpectedly larger beautiful plant.Time to keep them all living, flourishing and producing new plantsCan be a total indoor gardening experience.These incredibly unique plants are worth seeing, once you have one in the palm of your hand .... who knows where it will take youHave fun , I did and still do

these delivered packed well and good condition and nice size plants , had a few weeks now and look good in my fish tank, with driftwood

Lovely and easy to use. All six were in good condition and all are different. Came with a really comprehensive instruction/care sheet too. I tried to buy ready made terrariums but couldn’t find any I liked and it worked out great cos I love these so much more for having done it myself, so easy too!
