Q: how do I remove the hook from the glass shower door. I put it up crooked.

The supplied metal hook started rusting anyway. Pull it off and use a water resistant 3m command hook. You will have to enlarge the hole in the mirror, I just used a large drill bit

Q: Would this be safe for a baby to play with?

The overall product is made of plastic - and I doubt that a baby could crack it so as to cause harm. What I can't speak to is the oral safety (toxicity) - as the mirrored surface is a coating on the backside of the plastic and it is then coated over with another coating.

We have owned this mirror for a while and it has not shown any signs of rusting-and we keep in the shower. I am unsure if it will stick to composite-but it does stick to our vinyl shower curtain.

Q: How big is the hole in the mirror? The post it will hang on is .86 inches.

The hole is slightly smaller than 5/8" in diameter. Or, approximately 0.6 inches. Too small for your peg. Unless you want to tie a cord to the mirror and hang the cord on the post.
