Shapley's Original M-T-G Mane Tail Groom Plus Horse Solution - 32 oz

One of my horses had rain rot and some other skin funk going on. I have a rain rot shampoo, but couldn't bathe my horse because it was winter time. A horse friend recommended Shapley's Original MTG and so I decided to try it as I wasn't left with very many options. It worked great! Very easy to use. Just shake the bottle real good frequently to thoroughly mix the ingredients. Then, just pour it on your horse on the areas you need to treat and work the solution onto the affected areas. I would use a curry brush and even my hand to rub it in good. Forewarning: It smells like bacon and not in a great way. Even when you stop using it, your horse will smell like bacon for a while. I think I got used to it though after a while as I'd use my hand to rub the solution on him and the smell quit bothering me. It goes away when you wash your hands or just wear gloves. Highly recommend though if you need to treat your horse for the skin conditions it treats. It was a life saver in a situation where I wasn't able to bathe my horse.

I use this on my horses for pretty much everything: rain rot, sores, scratches, any kind of irritations that I see. Works great for the healing process. The smell is not great, but you can get past that.

Our horse tails and manes are longer and fuller after using. The smell is a little strange (like bacon grease) but it works so we’re using it.

This was a product that I was told to order to help my dog dry skin, it seems to be doing the job. I just have to get used to the smell!!!!

This is great for rain rot, hair loss, itchy spots, etc. I use it for basically everything and have noticed a HUGE improvement in my horses overall skin care. I will never try anything else, I love this stuff.

Yes, the smell is kinda covered up... but it still smells like bacon. After you apply it, it doesn't absorb well.. my horse's mane and tail (was white) look like brown dusty hair. I would not purchase this again.
