Robelle 301632R Ultra Winter Pool Cover for In-Ground Swimming Pools, 16 x 32-ft. In-Ground Pool

Purchase this winter cover for my pool for summer evaporation protection (I am in CA and we are in severe drought condition).First off, I measured my pool incorrectly (my kid read the measure tape wrong by 10 feet). This cover is HUGH. It cover the entire pool and some. I have seen summer (clear bubble wrap) with smaller dimension at Leslie selling for $120.Second, the material is reasonably sturdy, and could take abuse reasonably well. For those with jagged corners on your pool, I would glue kids safety padding to reduce risk of ripping.Third, the cover weight changes once I deploy it. I did not anticipated that water drag is VERY significant once the cover get wet. If part of it is submerged under water, it could get VERY heavy to be handle by one person. I would recommend a roller for this cover. My wife unfortunately is not partial to the added ugliness/cumbersome of accessories to accommodate this cover (she has a point as it requires a 2 person operators any how)Fourth, I would forget about the floaties weights for this cover. Use your garden brick (most people have plenty to spare) to anchor along the edge of the cover. Again, the material is hardy enough for this.Fifth, I wish they make more grommet/eyelet around the cover for user to tie the cover to pool anchor. As is the cover has plastic ties along its edge for this purpose which is good but NOT great. For those who has smaller pool, it would also be good to half the cover and stabilize the layer by tying them together. Interestingly, the plastic ties are NOT symmetrical in location, i.e, they don't quite mirror each other, and if you attempt to tie them against each other the resulting 1/2 sheet is not quite flat against the other layer.Overall, my first attempt to save water on my pool is not bad. Expect 2 operators for deployment of this cover. I am impressed with the water evaporation save with this cover.Last note: be VERY careful if you have young children. This cover could trap the unwary young one underneath easily without obvious signs; but then again, if you needed this cover, you should know about pool safety/etiquette already. For the price, I would highly recommend this cover.

a 30 mile wind tore it up. not as strong as I would have like it. if not completely secure all around the wind will tear it up,

Disliked the fact you cannot see where the edge of pool lies. One wrong step to close and tarp will drown you after you fall in the pool. Not for residential use. See more likely for businesses with locked gate and no access during winter months

I did a lot of research before deciding on this Robelle Supreme pool cover. I chose it because it has a 12x12 scrim. I think it will provide the best protection during rain and snow but winter is coming, so we’ll see! It looks nicer than any cover we’ve had. It’s green and although it doesn’t feel thick, it seems tightly woven so, so far, I’m happy with this purchase. We have a Grecian L shaped pool and it’s very difficult to find the right size cover. This is a 35’x55’ cover which covers our area of 30’x50’ just right!

Had a couple tips very quickly. We did have wind get under it which helped that I’m sure, but regardless if I paid full price I’d expect something thicker and more durable. I wouldn’t buy this product again. It’s just a large thin tarp however it does cover our pool adequately for this winter.I hope this helps…

I waited to write this review to make sure I could review it properly. This is our second year of using this cover, it is still in perfect condition. I love the color, it's a bright blue and doesn't look so dismal in the middle of winter when I would rather have my pool open! So glad we found this cover. I would definitely recommend it for it's sturdiness. We get a lot of snow and rain in the winter months and it has held up just great!

I've used 4 of these tarps (30x50) to cover my pool, 2 in 2020, 1 in 2021 and 1 for this year. The first tarp from 2020 ripped at a weld after a few weeks and was replaced under warranty. The replacement tarp lasted the remainder of the 2020/21 Winter but develop holes. I used Flex Seal to repair them which seemed to work but there were just too many to repair. The tarp from 2021 did the same as the 2020 replacement tarp, held up for a couple of months but started to develop leaks that I tried to repair with Flex Seal, it helped but I was never able to get them all. The 2022 tarp came out of the box with no rips in the welds which is good. I will have to wait to see if it develops leaks over the Winter. My guess is it will.I've come to the realization that I will have to buy a cover each year since they do not last. This is where the price comes into play, they are inexpensive enough that replacing them every year isn't too bad. I wish I did not have to but I don't see any way around it. I've thought of getting a lock-down pool cover but they are sooooo expensive...I was quoted at $4500. I figured I could buy at least 22 covers for that price which would be 22 years. I was told the lock-down covers would need replacing in the 22 years so I just figure that the tarps are a more cost effective way of covering my pool.If the tarps were a little thicker and the welds held better, I bet they would last a few years for me.

Same as cover we already had so not good value....sent back. Fairly thin ...not strong.

This is a brilliant cover does what it says and is sturdy highly recommend and a great price

I ordered this in a last minute panic after realizing that mice had nested and a hole was in my winter cover. There were none available locally and I had already started closing my pool and this had the quickest shipping. Given it wasn’t a high end cover I did not have super high expectations, but thought it would last a few years. When it arrived I could see my fingers through it. The loops to hold the water bags already had loose threads and were also very thin, my thoughts of it lasting a few years were out the window as I did not think it would survive one winter. Cheap tarps are thicker than this cover.

Es una lona cualquiera, de baja calidad, no vienen en las medidas que asegura la publicidad, la mía vino muchisimo mas grande y es complicado usar, es solo la lona, no tiene los pesos para que no se vuele. La consigue en cualquier mercado de su ciudad.

Although it’s supposed to be a pool cover is is very flimsy. The only thing going for it is the price but I will have to be very careful about using it. The previous one has lasted 40 years, I don’t believe this one will last. The previous one was 229.00 40 years ago. You only get what you pay for.
