I wasn't expecting too much when I received this product in the mail. It looks like something from a decade or two ago, and it probably hasn't changed much since it was originally invented. But that's because you don't mess with a good thing.If you ever have laundry mishaps where you put the wrong fabrics together, or you're not a stick thin model so you get pilling under sweater armpits, on jeans between your thighs, or anywhere fabric rubbing on fabric can create fuzzballs, this is a product you need.This works well on sweaters, knits, jeans, sweatshirts, and probably a lot of other things I haven't tried yet. I have a super soft pair of jeans that had hard little nubs of lint from where my thighs rub when wearing them. Not any more. I had a sweater that got washed with knit items and left little gray fuzzballs over everything. Not any more.Unlike other shavers, so far I've been lucky that this hasn't even come close to cutting a hole into any fabric I've tried it on. The fan is just strong enough to make it easy to defuzz but won't suck the actual fabric into the mesh.

The concept of this device is to shave off pills on fabric. However the grill protecting the shaving blades seems a bit far from the blades. So I removed the grill. That improved the function.

Worked great. Removed all the pilling without damaging the material. I have used this on my wool coats and cotton sweaters.

Had same shaver years ago, but lost to the closet demon. They work great and are quiet. Very happy.
