Spawn, #4 (Comic Book) Comic – January 1, 1992

The devil (Malebolgia) backed up Spawn instead of Violator and that was a power move. I'm glad, now Violator knows and he's pissed.

The book came on time, well-protected, and thoroughly wrapped. In terms of quality, I was expecting maybe a little but of scuffing around the edges, but oh no... no, no, no, this is the most well-kept book I have in my still-growing collection of the series. As a relatively new fan of Spawn, I have to say that you guys are great!!

Spawn and the Clown/Violator have an all out fight, the Clown is perplexed as to why he can't destroy Spawn thinking he is human and should easily defeated. The battle wages on until their 'daddy', Malebolgia intervenes and sets them straight as to why they are on earth.The Clown is feeling very pleased with himself and brags to Malebolgia about his killing spree, this does not go down well with Malebolgia giving him a complete dressing down and punishing him by locking him into his clown form.The first part of this was almost played for comic relief with Spawn and the Clown using their powers to maim each other. They sling insults and give out 'is that the best you can do' jibes before Malebolgia turns up, chastising them like children, which is how he sees them.Spawn now knows that his powers are not inexhaustable and that once they are used up, so is he.

Would have been nice if it was bagged and boarded on its own instead of being pushed into the same bag as another comic. Pretty good condition despite the doubling up.

Turmoil of souls, Living armor creation, Charm breaking combat. A trench coat and hat, Sold from the back of a car, Another charmed life.

I really enjoyed this issue because of how they carried on the fight. Violator losses an arm as well as spawn. the fight isn't that violent but there are severed body parts and green blood [Demons bleed green blood]. Before they can kill each other malbolgia intervenes. He gives spawn his arm back but Violator gets stuck in his clown form for the time being. All and all i loved this issue I'm on issue 7 now. Yes I'm 12 but i know what I'm doing.

The art work and story is awesome. The only qualm I have is it was too short. But I would recommend adult to pick this comic book up.
