I have used many pliers in my life and have never seen one that you have to pull apart to snap a ring on. Most you have to squeeze to separate the ring but these you pull apart. Try doing that while holding the part you have to put the ring on. IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!!! I only gave 2 stars because of the quantity you get. I do not recommend this for anyone!

The prongs bent way too easily so returned the item.
