Owning the DJI Flip for over 2 months I have tested every feature and I impressed with the quality and design of the Flip.Being my first professional rc drone I was not the biggest expert when flying but with app and plenty of resources and tutorials for this drone I was never disappointed with my purchase.Flying without the remote:Being under 250 Grams I wasn’t expecting a lot of features but with smart video modes like “Boomerang” and “Rocket” this compact drone can be a mini personal photographer (you don’t need someone to control it for you because of it’s AI tracking features).Flying with a remote:When flying with the RCN3 controller this drone is just like any other DJI drone. With its front LiDar ,beginners won’t have to worry about crashing it. Also it’s high quality boasts 48 megapixel photos and 4K video at 60 frames per second in 10 bit color, so no worries on the camera’s quality.Other Specs:>31 minute battery time (really 28 mins max)>Carbon Fiber propeller guards (the rod part)>Under 250 grams (not as many laws as a drone over 250 grams but to fly recreationally you need to take the TRUST Test if you live in the USA)>Return to Home>Plenty of smart autonomous flying modes

I recently purchased this beginner drone, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations in every way. Ease of operation is one of its standout features. One Good part i like about DJI brand is they take safety as a topmost priority and these drones especially the one i got (DJI FLIP) has some serious safety features.Gets a little on nerves when flying in a little harsh environments , but if company thats manufacturing these drones cares about people not getting hurt ; thats all that mattersPS: REALLY EASY TO FLY DRONE.Thankyou DJI

With all my love and respect to DJI the drone came with a completely dead battery which can effect the flight time. If it will be a case for me, I will ask for replacement! I will also add my drone review after several test flights and shootings.Update: battery works fine! You have solid 25 min of fly time with a little bit of wind. My bad! I just was not prepared and didn’t figure out how it works with the fire start.

The flip is amazing. All the things you can do with this drone. Weight is as they say, below the limit that would require registration. Flew this a mile away with flawless control (the further you go the higher you should fly). No problem flying in 15 mph winds. I especially love the remote that came with it (screen built in) no need for a cell phone for video and fpv. Of course being a DJI this wasn't cheap but I think it was in the right price range for everything you get.Most important is the forward and below crash protection radar. And with blade protection you just can't go wrong.This is so easy to fly my advice is don't spend money on a cheaper drone only to want a DJI later. Just get this an you won't be sorry. You need to start with a 3 axis gimble (which this has) if you want nice video so you'll spend anywhere from $300 to $500 anyway. So just spend the extra bucks and save money in the long run.

The flip was a joy to fly as a beginner drone. It does not handle the wind very well, but if you’re flying on a nice day, it’s a great little drone. It’s not going to do as well as the other drones that DJI puts out like the mini four pro but you’re not paying the money for it either. This is a great little drone for younger people to start learning how to fly so I’m giving it five stars.

So many reviews here from people who don't own this drone.First, Geofencing was only done by DJI, no other drone maker, even USA made drones do not do this. It's up to the owner to fly correctly, not the drone maker. Take charge of your flying, and your own lawfulness.Second, yes Customs did check the shipment out but released it pretty quickly without opening the box due to the value being low (minimus thing?) and it being a sub 250g drone. Customs much prefers to hold up the more expensive drones that weight a lot more. (I have experience in this issue, not fun.)Last, I have no love for China, and glad that DJI is a privately owned company. They are by and far the best drone maker so far. I do hope other companies step up to the plate, but for now DJI is #1.So far this drone has been a lot of fun. I bought it with the RC-N3 controller, simply because I prefer to connect the controller up to a full sized iPad (with a cheap adapter purchased from Amazon) instead of the small screen on the RC2 controller or just a cell phone. I also own a Neo, and not sure yet which of the two I like best. The Flip was about $100 more expensive after consideration of a RC-N3 for the Neo, and that expense was well accepted in the larger size, more battery life, and better features on some of the camera tricks. The Neo is still a lot of fun though.Shoot, if you don't need an Air 3(s) or even a Mini 4 Pro for their features, get both the Neo and a Flip for less money over the price of only one of those other two and have a lot of fun!

Great quality, easy to fly, great for beginner and accomplished pilots. No license needed if you're not using it commercially.Get extra battereis!
