Budget-friendly sensor~
Its small size is really helpful as it could be used in small pots. It does run on batteries which can be idea as to keep it a small size. The blue part is a removable rubber like cover. It doesn’t seem entirely water proof but it could withstand misting and controlled watering scenarios so likely not ideal for outside in a region with heavy rain. Sensors like these typically like to be put very deep and closer to the base of the plants. Finding the ideal position for a potted plant just really depends on resistance. As in it would take more gently increasing pressure to drive the stake into the soil without causing the plant too much damage. Overall is fairly accurate. It’s good to check your plant’s soil if you’re not getting reliable readings. Like you just watered the plant but the sensor says the soil moisture is below 20%. I’ve learned from experience that you can’t always trust the sensor because of plant soil health (not like health as in humans or animals obviously).

Buyer beware!
Don’t waste your money, just another bad product from China! Only has Bluetooth within a few feet so can’t really get data from your smart app unless your really close to the unit. Also it only measures in Celsius with no other options, and the moisture level after one watering just stays at 100%. Great ides product concept but needs a lot of work before shipping this product on Amazon.

Not particularly useful
I thought this would be much more capable than it is - for example, giving me a target range for soil humidity, alerting me when the humidity drops below a set point, but unfortunately this just Bluetooth pairs with Tuya (and regularly spontaneously disconnects), and gives me a soil humidity % that doesn't make any sense to me, nor inform me how to care for my plants. It was easy to set up in the app and use, and is still running a couple months later without a battery change, so that's good. But overall, it doesn't meet my needs at all.

Very limited
First it will not connect with Alexa, I'm pretty disappointed as I was hoping to at least be able to just get ask the levels even if I couldn't set up some form of daily monitoring. If this could integrate with Alexa/Google it would be a major plus. It shows soil temp and humidity, I'm using it to monitor a terrarium with venus fly traps and pitcher plants which prefer wet soil and currently it says 100% even though I haven't watered in 3 days, it is still very moist but hopefully that moves fairly easy and will actually be a benifit. The app is also very limited, hopefully they have plans for more development. Can't say how accurate it is, temp seems accurate but unsure about "humidity". Was the cheaper option for Bluetooth so can't complain too much hopefully it's worth it.Integrating with Alexa and some way to have alerts and this would be 5 stars out of the box, we'll see how well it's built and if it holds up.

Easy to use plant tool
Easy to use. I like the accuracy of the product and so far I've been able to keep my plant healthy.

Very modern, mobile phones can be monitored at any time, looking forward to use durable
If this device can last long enough, it will be great. I can't ask for more from this device. It not only performs well, but also looks beautiful. The device is easy to set up and the app is well designed. So far, I am very impressed. The iLight smart plant moisture meter is connected to the app according to the instructions, and it can be used by plugging it into the soil. It is very intelligent and measures humidity accurately. This soil moisture sensor can be connected to wifi through a wifi hub, so it can be used even when you are not at home, and it can also be integrated with smart home devices. The sensor will display a series of data such as soil moisture, temperature, and light intensity on the app to notify you when you need to water. You can monitor soil moisture, light intensity, and temperature at any time, which is very convenient.

Just buy a cheap moisture meter probe!
I was thinking this would warn me when my plants needed watering. You have to actually look at each meter in the app every day and they are not accurate at all! I have a cheap moisture meter probe that I will use instead!
