BETADINE 5% Antiseptic Spray

Works well but be careful of overspray. Iodine will likely cause stains.

This product was used in the care of my cat after a large abscess broke and he had a large wound. It is okay for the use in cats. I did check with a vet. However, spray it directly on the wound and be sure not to spray to close or let it run into the mouth. Don't use for a long period,of time and be sure you read on any other products what it can and can't be used in conjunction with. However, it's a fabulous product to clean a wound I would spray on the wound and then using cotton swabs wipe it off. You don't leave it on. I like the spray as it gets directly on the wound and you're able to get the surrounding area while wiping it off. It's definitely a great disinfectant for humans and for cats. However, if using for your animal, read about it first. But, it certainly, in the short term use, disinfected the area well so I could use the triple antibiotics and other products.

You only need ~1% of what this sprays out after cleaning an area with isopropyl. I don't like how it sprays out so much of its contents, while being hard to self administer.

This is perfect for cleaning scabs without killing the skin cells around it. No sting so great for kids. It did seem to leak a bit so I kept it in a ziplock bag in case when we travel with it. Otherwise it’s a brown stain.
