Firstly, I really like this product. The only improvement that I would suggest would be an app to help find the remotes when you lose them. It does what it advertises and does it remarkably well. I don't have any range issues.I hope that this review will help anyone trying to use this on a 240V appliance in the US or where ever 120V single phase electricity is sold. After reading the description and testimonials as well as seeing this product on YouTube, I thought I would be able to use it as a stand-alone remote switch for my 240V Jet dust collector. This sadly wasn't the case.This only controls one pole of electricity. You cannot use it to directly control both poles of a 240V appliance. You will need to add an AC contractor. I used the "BOJACK 2 Poles FLA 30 Amp Coil 120 VAC Air Conditioner Condenser Compressor Contactor" from Amazon ($13.99).The VonVoff switch is a single pole switch used to energize a single phase 120V control circuit on the contactor. This in-turn closes the contacts on the AC contactor and connects a 240V dust collector in my case, to the dual 120V poles, or legs, for a total of 240V at 20A.The junction box in my picture is a Southwire 8in x 8in x 4in. I thought about the 6x6x4 box that I have seen recommended, but I am glad I went bigger. The extra two inches made a huge difference when routing the wires in the box.Be sure to use appropriately sized wiring for your project. When using 120V AC; 14ga up to 15A. 12ga up to 20A and 10ga for 30A.I am very happy with the way this project turned out and would recommend this solution to anyone. In summary, this is most of what you will need:- VonVoff Switch- An AC Contactor- A metal or plastic box to put it in (Minimum size 6x6x4, but larger is recommended 8x8x4)- Some Spade connectors, both male and female (I used yellow 12ga female spades for the contactor and blue 14ga male fork spades for the VonVoff switch. The 12ga fork spades would not fit)- Wago wire connectors made connecting the wires together easy.- Good crimpers, Klein is always a great choice.- Stranded wire makes the whole job easier.

What you see is exactly what you get, controller with two key fobs... I haven't try out the long range distance but close range 20' works flawless. One thing I would like to add you must have power hooked to the line side for it to work. I tried to make it work right out of the box playing around with it to no avail. I stepped out to the garage and got a extension cord with just the male part on it and hooked the (cut off) female end to the controller. Placed a little light bulb socket on the load side and worked great. In my opinion this is a nice little item to have when you want to control something at a distance. It is also rated for 30 amps which is what a clothes dryer or a water heater is rated at. 5 star for the price and quality...

The instructions only tell you to press the side button 3 times to learn a remote and press 8 times to reset. I discovered a couple more interesting modes:Pushing side button before learning remote:1 click: Momentary. Pushing "on" button activates output, which stays activated until button is released.2 clicks: Toggle. Pushing "on" button activates the output, which stays activated until the "on" button is pushed again.3 clicks: Two button toggle. Pushing "on" activates the output. Pushing "off" deactivates the output.4-7: Appear to do nothing???8. Reset deviceIt is worth noting that these modes are programmable PER REMOTE! So you can have one remote in mode 1 and one remote in mode 3 etc. I do not know what the maximum number of remotes you have is but this little box is much more capable than the description would have you believe! Very cool.

Works well when not at vacuum. Recommend for convenience and safe operation.

I wanted a way to also bypass this unit in case of failure or lost / damaged remotes. With some spare electrical parts, I was able to install this unit in a 4x4 box along with a selector toggle switch rated for 20A. Power comes into box and connected to input of unit and to one side of the selector switch. Incoming neutral connected to both neutrals of the unit and a wire back to the dust collector motor. The middle connection of the toggle switch goes to the power wire of the dust collector. By selecting the toggle in the manual mode, it will bypass the module and start the dust collector. With the selector toggle set in Remote mode, the remote controllers will turn the dust collector on and off. I drilled a 1/4” hole in the top of the metal box and ran the antenna out through the hole. The quality of this unit seems to be very good. Strong connectors and remotes do not feel cheesy.

Product came very quickly and was smaller than expected, but that is fine. I installed it in less time than expected, and it worked first time, every time. Good buy, great price.
